Thank you for ladies and gentlemen. 【（I think we have a very interesting topic
today because）ここはいらんかな。弱くなる。】 this is a very controversial issue and also inevitable to discuss【もちろんご存じの通り、debateです】
when we think about Japanese present situation.【present situationってのはなんだ？】
I have three arguments in this debate. First is social security, second is
conflicts among cultures, and third is bad effects on Japanese economy. I
would like to explain one by one.

The first argument is social security. Japan is one of the richest countries in
the world, and if we accept more immigrants positively, many foreigners want
to come to Japan to find jobs and earn much money. There is also possibility
that they can’t find jobs, and even if they can get jobs, the job will be low-paid
job. However, prices in Japan is really high than other countries and immigrants
can’t get enough financial support by Japanese government. If Japan accepts
more immigrants, there is much risk to have many poor and not cared people.【ここのロジックが飛びすぎ。移民がなぜお金を稼げないのかが示されていない。
→たとえば、移民は発展途上国からの移民がほとんどだろうだから、教育を受けていないとか、言語・風習の壁が大きいとかを入れるべき。】
Producing those kind of people cause bad social security, because they need
to commit crimes to live.【生きるために犯罪？窃盗とかかな？もうcomimit crimeで十分かな】 Adding to that reason they might don’t have good
emotion toward the Japanese because they can’t earn enough money to live
and they can’t have the same right as the Japanese have. 〈彼らが自分の国に帰ったら、友達とかに日本の悪い印象について話して、それで日本の評判が悪くなる、とか入れてはどうでしょうか。〉From these reasons,
if Japan accept more immigrants, we have bad social security.
【social securityが悪くなることは示せたけど、それがいかに悪影響を与えるのか（いわゆるseriousness）が示せていない。実はそこが大事なんだな。
→治安が悪化する→財産・生命の危険にもつながる→それらは生きるのにはとても大切。
もしくは、日本の取り柄？である治安が悪化すると日本の評判が・・とかも言えるかな。】
（赤木）結論が最初と真ん中に来ているがために最後の部分が混乱してきている。結論は最初と最後に持ってくる。Social Securityがサインポストなら、おそらく言いたいことは、「移民を入れる→治安悪化」だよね。河野君のアーギュメントの流れとしては「（前省略）→貧乏移民に対する政府からの支援ない→かつ、移民が増えると支援できない→社会にマイナス→犯罪を犯す」としていったん結論を示しているのに、そのあとに「日本人に悪い感情を持つ→なぜなら同様の権利がないから」という風に理由がまた続いているんだ。しかし、becauseを使う以上（理由が後からくるもんねぇ）そうならざるを得ない気持ちもわかる。どうすればいいのか？
アドバイスとしては、アクターによってアーギュメントを分ける手が一つにある。以下おおまかな例。まず、日本社会について（物価が高い）。次に日本政府について（遠い国から呼ぶだけ→支援しない）。そして移民について（カクカクシカジカで貧しい→頼る人もいない→どうしようもなくなって犯罪に走る）。
もうひとつは、（時間があれば）具体的な数字を調べて取り上げること。外国人との賃金差のデータとか、犯罪率のデータとかわかる範囲でいいのでデータを活用できるとよい。以上

The second argument is conflicts among cultures. If we accept more
immigrants positively, we 【will】see foreigners more often. You’ll see foreigners in
workplaces, on the streets and so on. I want you to recall about Asa-syoryu.
He comes from Mon gore and he did very good jobs on Sumo-wrestling, but
he was disliked by many Japanese. 【朝青龍の例は分かりやすいと思うけど、「みなさんの身近で見るように…」の例ではないような。あと、朝青龍の場合は本人の性格の面もあるからなー。例として挙げるならイスラム教徒がお祈りしなきゃとかになるのかな。】Why? As you know, that’s because he
did many things those are not fit to Japanese customs. Many Japanese felt
uncomfortable about his behavior and what he said. Japan is almost mono-
ethnic nation 【ここで問題になるかは分からんけど、日本を単一民族国家というのはちょっと危険な主張なので控えるべきかも。ここは省略して、保守的だけでいいかな。】〈加藤君に全面的に賛成です。単一民族国家のような国ですが、それを言ったがために原因で大臣を辞めた政治家もいたので、こここでは控えるべきではないでしょうか。〉and very conservative because they have long history and
tradition, so it is very difficult for them to accept and adjust to new cultures
which are not fit to their tradition. Imagine if you have one Indian worker and
one day, the worker dyed his hair in red. You’ll warn him not to dye his hair,
because dying hair in red is not appropriate when we work in Japan. However
the worker replies “it is none of your business because dying hair does not have
anything to do with working.” If we accept more immigrants, we’ll have many
conflicts all around Japan.〈だから、日本にはもちろん、移民にもよくない、という相互不利益なので、絶対にダメとか入れてはどうでしょうか。〉
【具体的に示せていていい。ただ、1番目のsocial securityと結果としては被るので、social securityの中の小見出しとして、「待遇」と「気持ち」に分けるという形がすっきりしてる。】
（赤木）文化については、もうちょっと一般的な例を探してみるといい（イスラームの例でもいいし、日本の中国人観光客の例とかでもいい）。これもアクター同士に分けてみたらもっとはっきりしてくるのでは。

The third argument is bad effect on Japanese economy. As I said before
if the conflicts happen at workplaces, it is directly leads to less productivity,
because Japanese workers waste their energy and time on having conflicts
with foreign workers.【移民も待遇の違いで不満があってあんまり働かないよね】 【（And）文脈的に要らんかな】 as you know, Japan is now in the serious recession,
so many young Japanese are difficult to get jobs. According to the survey of
ministry of health, labor and welfare, the unemployment rate reaches 9.9%
in 2009. This is a really fatal situation and OECD, Organization for Economic
Co-operation and Development, warned Japanese government that the
government should take some policy to improve this situation. The present
situation is really serious but【ん？moreoverかな】 if Japan accepts more workers from foreign
countries that will （accelerate this trend）【→make this situation worse and worseかなちょっと文脈つかみづらい】. The Japanese government should
ensure the right of working of the Japanese. 【ここで働く権利は関係ないな。Gov. should not disturb productivityとかかね。】That is one of the most important
tasks of government.
Because of the three arguments, social security, conflicts and economy, we
strongly believe that Japan should not accept more immigrants
