again from 1951 to 1955. A noted statesman and orator. Churchill was also an officer in
the British Army, a historian, a Nobel Prize-winning writer, and an artist.
Air Chief Marshal Hugh Caswell Tremenheere Dowding, 1st Baron Dowding, was a
British officer in the Royal Air Force. He was the commander of RAF Fighter Command
during the Battle of Britain.
