【maki (BMS)とは】
2000年からBMS作品を制作している、日本出身の作曲家。BMSイベントで複数回の優勝経験がある。BMS作者デビュー作は『Distance of illusion』。
フリーのシンセサイザー「Synth1」の使い手として知られ、ridis名義の頃は「軍曹」の名でも親しまれていた作曲家である。
【作風（音楽）】
インスト系をメインとしており、AmbientやTechnoの要素がある作品が多い。世界観は、海や冬などの寒色系の情景をイメージさせるものが多く、
氏の世界観に惹かれるユーザーは多い。ridis～guna名義にかけては『x-Aria』『雪月夜鐘』『subconsciousness』など、BMS史に残る名作を送り出している。

【作風（映像）】
自らBGAを制作することが多く、連番BMP形式ではループ素材やイラスト、ポエムなどを取り入れた作品を制作している。最近はMV形式の制作にシフトしており、氏自らがイラストを描いたアニメーションを制作している。
ちなみに一時期は連番BMPに、イラストレーターである草野ほうき（別名義：草野郎）の協力のもと『deadly daydream』を筆頭にいくつかBGA作品を制作していた。（※草野ほうきは現在プロとして活動している）
ちなみに『searoad tracks』はsasakure.UKに、『x-Aria』は美月 正（ゆうゆP）によってリミックスされている。
