This page outlines guidelines for prohibited actions and dealing with trolling.
It includes not only “Examples of comments subject to deletion” but also “Policies for those responding to trolling”. (Important!)
If you encounter a trolling comment, please read this page thoroughly and take appropriate action.
AtWiki Terms of Service
The page you are currently viewing is the “Terms of Service” for “Search Terms You Shouldn't Use @ Wiki”.
Although the name is the same and may be confusing, the service “AtWiki” that hosts (physically owns) this site also has its own “Terms of Service”.
When using this site, please also comply with AtWiki's Terms of Service.
Furthermore, the provisions of AtWiki's Terms of Service take precedence over this site's Terms of Service.
Given the nature of this site, it is entirely possible to make posts that violate AtWiki's Terms of Service or applicable laws.
Please take care to avoid such situations.
Prohibited Actions
Prohibited actions are categorized into three types based on the anticipated context: “General,” “Comments and Discussions,” and “Wiki Creation/Editing.” (This does not limit the scope of prohibited actions.)
Section numbers correspond to the content before section division.
Users engaging in any prohibited actions listed here, or any other actions deemed malicious by the administrator, may face strict measures such as posting restrictions or revocation of membership.
General Prohibitions
- 6. Posting External Links: This includes adding links that redirect to external sites upon click or tap, as well as embedding external images or videos.
However, exceptions are made for links to this site's official X account (@MustNotSearch2), links to this site's affiliated boards (groups) on zawazawa or Shitaraba bulletin boards, and links to video sites on the “Search Commentators List” page.
- 12. Excessive self-governance
- 13. Posts that intensely pursue or attack individuals
- 16. Impersonation
- 18. Acts causing trouble for posted sites, videos, etc.
- 19. Requests to restrict activities outside this wiki for specific organizations or individuals, or submissions containing such content
- 23. Copyright infringement: Do not repost others' copyrighted works without permission. Reposts clearly exceeding fair use limits may be immediately deleted at the user's discretion. (To prevent disputes, it is advisable to follow the “Deletion Response Flow” and communicate the reasons.)
Prohibited Actions in Comments and Discussions
For comment section usage, also refer to the “About Comments” section.
- 1. Unauthorized deletion of comments
- 5. Self-voting in reviews or polls:Absolutely refrain from self-voting, such as casting a vote for a discussion you initiated yourself. (Such self-votes will be invalidated.)
Even if attempted, logged-in users can easily identify duplicate votes by checking activity logs.
※ However, if you accidentally cast duplicate votes, please correct them immediately. This may allow you to avoid penalties.
For details on voting fraud and countermeasures, also refer to the “About Voting” page.
- 8. Violations of the Word Reporting Rules
- 9. Posts containing excessively harsh language or expressions that cause discomfort to viewers when reviewing or commenting on the bulletin board
- 10. If a user with an inappropriate icon is restricted, all their posts will be deleted.

- 21. Using inappropriate names (e.g., names containing vulgar terms, abusive language, slander, discriminatory words, etc.)
- 22. Engaging in excessive arguments that deny another person's character on pages related to discussions like new article creation votes
Prohibited Actions for Creating and Editing on the Wiki
- 2, 3. Unauthorized changes to classifications and risk levels

- 7. Overwriting pages with unrelated content, such as blanking pages
Supplementary Explanation of Prohibitions
Regarding Comments
The comment section is provided for discussing impressions of words or their content.
- Speech or actions that cause discomfort to others
- Speech or actions that cause nuisance
- Excessive familiarity unrelated to the comment
- Defamation
- Responding to troll comments
- Promoting other forums, SNS, or similar communities
- Boasting about tolerance (“I'm [age] but I could see it lol”)
- Political comments
The above will be subject to deletion.
If you find such comments, please handle their deletion according to the procedures outlined in the “Deletion Response Flow” section. Additionally, comments responding to trolling posts will be considered complicit in the trolling and will all be deleted.
Furthermore, if the article's content is judged not to meet the criteria for “words you shouldn't search for,” the article itself may be slandered in the comments.
Please understand that such comments are also subject to deletion.
(For discussions regarding article retention, please use
Deletion Discussions.)
Deletion Procedure (Updated 2019/06/23)
- Report the vandalizing user in the vandalism report thread on the bulletin board.
- Delete the relevant comment using the “Edit Page” button in the upper left corner (You must be a logged-in user to edit pages). (Failure to complete step 1 constitutes unauthorized deletion and is a rule violation.)
- Post a notice in the article's comment section stating the deletion occurred where the comment was removed (to prevent misunderstandings like comments with arrows appearing broken). However, if the deletion only involved removing the ‘h’ from a direct link comment, you may skip this step.
If a situation arises that cannot be managed under these rules, please use the “Report to Administrator” form in the top right corner of the site to send an email. The administrator will respond as quickly as possible.
Note: Posts on the
Article Report Page are an exception.
Since the quality of reports is ideally discussed by multiple users within the board thread, please refrain from deleting posts unless they are clearly unrelated to the report.
If deletion is necessary, it is preferable to consult briefly on the board first.
Regarding Comment Section Removal (Updated 2019/10/14)
Additionally, if we determine that deletion alone is insufficient to resolve the issue, we may remove the comment section entirely.
However, this is strictly a last resort; if we judge that standard anti-spam measures will suffice, we will not remove the section.
To identify articles where the comment section has been removed, please check for the tag labeled “comment section removed.”
If Your Comment Was Deleted
On sites with deletion mechanisms, debates about criteria boundaries are inevitable.
In such cases, please contact us via the dedicated thread for questions, requests, and reports, or use the contact form.
If you feel the action taken against you was unjust, or if you believe it constitutes excessive self-governance, please contact us there. In some cases, comments may be restored.
(Please understand that requests made there are not guaranteed to be accepted.)
Troll Response Policy
Note: This section was established by the second administrator.
‘'Please refrain from slandering users deemed to be trolls.’'
During the first administrator's tenure, such interactions were rampant, creating an aggressive atmosphere towards users.
Additionally, the following types of behavior frequently occurred:
- Labeling users who deviated from the rules as trolls while ignoring the wiki's own shortcomings, followed by high-handed edits motivated by this labeling
- Treating users like children beyond what is necessary
- Arrogant behavior towards users
Such actions are now considered violations on this wiki. Please understand.
If you encounter vandalism on this site
‘'Consider whether the person is truly acting with malicious intent, and whether the site itself or those exercising self-governance bear any responsibility, before taking action.’'
The author (second-generation administrator) previously used this site during the previous administrator's tenure.
I still remember the first time I visited this bulletin board to point out shortcomings in site management, only to be met with unfounded labeling and high-handed treatment.
The site's structure remained unchanged afterward, and despite my repeated calls for attention, no signs of improvement were evident.
Given this background, I have decided to formalize a revised approach to handling trolls.
Even if someone exhibits behavior inconsistent with the site's rules, refrain from responding with an overbearing attitude.
For users of budget smartphones (Added 2018/02/06)
Users accessing this site via budget smartphones must post according to the following rules:
- Always include a handle name on voting pages
- Always include a handle name when using the bulletin board
Regarding Member Registration Applications
Wiki Member Registration Application
- To become a logged-in user, applicants must submit a membership registration request via the “Register/Login” button in the upper right corner and receive approval from an administrator.
- Membership registration requests are not accepted via inquiry emails or the bulletin board.
- Membership approval will not be granted to non-logged-in users who are currently restricted.
- {While logged-in users can create articles, creating articles without permission is prohibited except for articles that have been “reported for inclusion, reviewed for one week, and approved by majority vote”. Please be aware that if unauthorized article creation is confirmed even once, the article will be deleted without notice and member privileges will be revoked.
Board Registration Application (zawazawa)
To register as a member on the boards within “zawazawa”, applicants must submit a request and receive approval from an administrator.
You can view existing topics and post messages on the boards without applying.
If you apply, you must report your application in the “Questions/Requests/Reports Thread”.
Applications not reported within 3 days will be deleted without notice.
When comment logs on individual pages become lengthy
(Updated 2025/05/29) Currently, comment logs exist for all articles with comment sections. Even if comment logs are stored on subpages, comments will stop working with an error once that page reaches 3,000 lines. If a page is nearing this limit, please take appropriate action, such as dividing the logs into periods and moving older logs to separate pages (e.g., “(Page Name)/Comment Log 2020-2022”).
