Overview
- “Angelica's Chaotic Hardcore School” (ACHS) is a first-person survival horror game created by AndriCraftStudio (now DyymaStudio Games) and is a fan game of “Advanced Education with Viktor Strobovski” (AEwVS) created by MrDrNose.
- The basic gameplay is nearly identical to AEwVS, where players attend classes in a strange school, evade approaching teachers, solve problems scattered throughout the school, and aim to collect all the notes to escape.
- However, it features unique subjects not found in AEwVS, as well as original elements and directions, allowing for a gameplay experience distinct from AEwVS.
- While the atmosphere closely resembles the old version of AEwVS, it incorporates elements from both the old and new versions, resulting in a blend that combines the best aspects of both.
- There are also numerous elements that seem to pay homage to AEwVS, so fans of AEwVS will likely enjoy it even more.
- Like AEwVS, the game is characterized by its extremely high difficulty and depth of gameplay, which will appeal to those who enjoy such challenges.
- However, for those who find high difficulty levels daunting, a low-difficulty mode is also available. Even in the low-difficulty mode, the game maintains a certain level of challenge, ensuring that even those who struggle with high difficulty can still enjoy it.
- Overall, this game is perfect for those who are looking for a horror game with high difficulty and depth, as well as fans of AEwVS (especially those who like the old version).

About the Remastered Version
- After the release of version 1.0.0, the remastered version, “Angelica's Chaotic Hardcore School Remastered” was announced.
- As a result, the previously released version is now distinguished as “Angelica's Chaotic Hardcore School Classic” (Classic version).
- Developer's statement states that while they wanted to release ACHS on Steam, copyright issues made this difficult, leading to the decision to create this remastered version.
- The remastered version has been available on Steam since September 19, 2024, and can be played for 3.99 euros. (*1)
- Additionally, a demo version is available on itch.io, which only includes the Math level but can be played for free. It might be worth trying this out first.
- However, this is based on version 1.0, so elements implemented or changed in subsequent updates are not applied, and the content differs slightly from the full version. However, the atmosphere remains largely the same, so it should give you a good sense of the remastered version's vibe.
- The remastered version was released on itch.io on December 8, 2024. The price is the same, and the content is almost identical, but this version comes with a Steam key upon purchase, and starting February 8, 2025, Emily's Adventure will also be included.
But those who purchased the Steam version earlier got shortchanged a little...

- In the remastered version, most of the graphics and music have been updated, and some system improvements and changes have been made. The game's atmosphere has also changed, taking on a retro and nostalgic feel distinct from the classic version. Additionally, according to the official website, the remastered version is scheduled to include several new stages as bonus content. Furthermore, as announced by the official statement, new elements such as new items and characters will also be added in the future.
- However, due to the various changes made, atmosphere like the classic version and older versions of AEwVS has lost much. Furthermore, changes have been made that alter the feel of the gameplay, and it is expected that such changes will continue to be implemented in the future. Those who are new to the game should try out the version that suits them best.
