- Tutorial Level is the level that serves as the tutorial for this game.
- You can play it by pressing the Tutorial button in the upper right corner of the level selection screen.
- Similar to the AEwVS tutorial, Helpscreen will briefly teach you the basics of this game
while inserting some banter.- However, the amount of chatter is much more reasonable compared to that game.
But in the new version of that game the chatter itself has been removed.
- However, the amount of chatter is much more reasonable compared to that game.
- Although it may seem like a level with a strong meta aspect, it is actually a level that is firmly integrated into the story.
- Because it is a tutorial, there are no difficulty selections or enemy characters.

- As this is a tutorial, there are no difficult elements, and you can clear it by listening to the Helpscreen and following the instructions.
- In the first room, you will learn the basic controls and explanations of some characters, such as Samara.
- This room contains items like Paper and Chips, which you can use to try out the controls.
- There's also a scene where William Thorne asks if you can hear him, and you argue with William's voice when you hear it. These scenes, along with the fact that the Helpscreen unique to this level is tied into the story explanation and Final Era Level, show that this level is firmly integrated into the story.
- However, this also leads to some inconveniences (as described later).
- After the explanation ends, you are told to proceed to the next room
and to bring a cake, and the lock on the door leading to the next room is unlocked.- Incidentally, this door is designed to unlock once the explanation audio finishes playing, but since this game has a feature where sounds that play later override sounds that played earlier, if you use a rapid-fire device to check the door at super-high speed, the SE will override the explanation audio and unlock the door. Although tools are required, this technique significantly reduces the time needed, making it quite useful for time attacks and Emily's Adventure.
- In the second room, a brief explanation about the Blue Door Key is given.
- The adjacent room contains a large number of trash cans, and you can obtain the Blue Door Key by searching through them.
- Incidentally, there is a note on the wall stating that the Blue Door Key is on the blacklist however I can't help but feel that it would be better to add this information to the short explanation in the Helpscreen.
- Once you have obtained the Blue Door Key, you can open the locked door by inspecting it while the cursor is on the key. Behind the door is an emergency exit door, and inspecting it will end the level. There are no bonuses such as ACoin.
- The adjacent room contains a large number of trash cans, and you can obtain the Blue Door Key by searching through them.
- In the remastered version, aside from the changed appearance, there are not many changes, but for some reason, the scene mentioning Samara and the scene where William argues have been cut. This makes it harder to understand William's threat and the game's story.
- Perhaps because it is integrated into the story, unlike Hardcore mode, you must play this level in Emily's Adventure, and every time you restart, you are forced to listen to a lengthy explanation from the Helpscreen. Considering that the story-related dialogue has been cut this is an unreasonable measure.
- If you use the aforementioned rapid-fire device to save time, it becomes much easier, so if you don't mind using tools, give it a try.
