Overview
- Emma Bathsheba is the third teacher in this game.
- She is in charge of the science subject and appears in Science Level.
- She has the appearance of a panda. ...In fact, it is explicitly stated in the description of the Science Level that she is a panda.
- However, unlike Lucas Golenevsky, there are no elements other than her appearance that suggest she is a panda.
- According to her, she is usually called by the nickname "Sheba." However, mercilessly, most players of this game call her Emma.
And no character in the game calls her Sheba. - She seems to have a special ability to cloud the consciousness of those near her, and those who anger her are exposed to this threat.
- Due to the influence of William Thorne's curse, like Angelica Wilkins and others, if you get even one of her problems wrong, she will immediately fly into a rage, her eyes glowing red, and she will try to kill you.
Behavior
- Her behavior has many points in common with Alice's behavior in AEwVS... no, rather, it is closer to that of Viktor or Angelica.
- Just like Viktor, she moves by repeatedly advancing for a certain interval and then stopping. When she moves forward, a "squish" sound is heard.
- Her movement speed is quite slow at first, but eventually becomes very fast.
- Specifically, in Default difficulty or higher, her speed becomes almost the same as your walking speed after about 20 mistakes.
- Even in Brainiac mode, her movement speed does not change, but the content of the notebooks is extremely difficult, so the difficulty level increases exponentially.
- As mentioned earlier, she has a special ability to cloud the consciousness of those near her, and when you are near her, the screen becomes distorted, a noise sound is heard, and a warning mark is displayed. However, this is just a visual effect, and there are no negative effects such as a decrease in sanity. So you don't need to worry about it that much. Rather, it serves as a sign to let you know she is approaching.
- By using the Bottle of poison when you are close to her, you can stop her in her tracks. While she is stopped, her hitbox disappears. However, you can only stop her in her tracks, and you cannot make her retreat to a specific location like Angelica and others. For this reason, you basically have to keep running to get away from her.
- Also, like Angelica and others, this is only effective for up to 3 times, and on the 4th time, she will instantly kill you when she resumes her pursuit, so be careful. Especially on the 4th time, she will instantly kill you without mercy even if you enter the final chase, so using it a 4th time essentially means game over. For this reason, you should never use it a 4th time.
- It is a mystery why she can instantly kill you after being hit with 4 poison bottles. Was there something in the poison that greatly enhanced her physical abilities? Or did her anger, having reached its peak, break through the limits of her physical abilities?
- As a side note, this is the only case where you defend against a teacher by attacking them rather than offering them their favorite food. Since pandas are known to like bamboo, was it not possible to prepare bamboo?
- Unlike Angelica and others, her hitbox is quite large, so you need to be careful. Because of its size, if she is on the other side of a wall, you can be killed right through the wall, so be cautious.
- Just like in other levels, when you collect all the notebooks, you will enter a final chase with her. She will tell you that she is giving you a "final test of dexterity and sensitivity," and then she will resume her pursuit at the moment the background music begins to play.
- During the final chase, like the other teachers, she will chase you at a considerable speed while destroying doors, so you basically need to keep running to escape. However, her speed is slower than your running speed, so you can relatively easily increase the distance between you by just continuing to run.
- However, in the final chase of this level, you not only have to escape, but also collect potions in the level, so players will have to explore and collect potions while running and increasing the distance between them and her.
- If you collect 5 potions and mix them together in a blender to create Elevator oil, and you successfully start the elevator, her anger will subside and her pursuit will stop. After that, the player will use the repaired elevator to proceed to Music Level.

Side Note
- In version alpha 0.0.6, you could see the unfinished stage of Science Level, and Emma's voice was a little different there. Although there seemed to be no problem with the voice as it was, it was replaced in the alpha 0.0.7 update and remains so today.
