"Cut my hairs please, they are long."

Overview
- Samara is one of the main sub-characters in this game.
- She looks like Sadako and is characterized by her ghost-like appearance and long bangs.
- However, contrary to her terrifying appearance, she is very friendly and will chat with you and call you "friend," as long as you don't upset her.
- She plays a role similar to Mr. Mix or Phonty in AEwVS (more details below).
- In the remastered version, she changed her name to "Girly" and was reborn as a character with the appearance of a normal woman with blonde hair. However, her translucent appearance, floating, personality, and voice have not changed at all.
- She appears in almost all levels, similar to Jimmy.
Behavior
- Her hair continues to grow at an incredible rate, so the player needs to go to her regularly and cut her hair.
- When you approach her and press the E key, a mini-game to cut her hair begins. Red dots will appear in several places in her hair, and you can cut her hair by clicking and eliminating all of them.
- You cannot move at all during this mini-game, leaving you vulnerable for a short period. Therefore, you should avoid cutting her hair if a teacher is approaching.
- When you approach her and press the E key, a mini-game to cut her hair begins. Red dots will appear in several places in her hair, and you can cut her hair by clicking and eliminating all of them.
- The condition of her hair is represented in three stages from best to worst: Good > Medium > Bad. It worsens by one stage after a certain amount of time, and improves by one stage each time you complete the mini-game. You can check the current condition by looking at her appearance or by reading the "STATUS" value displayed during the mini-game.
- However, if the hair condition worsens further from a Bad state, she will fly into a rage and come to kill you at top speed, breaking doors as she goes. There is no way to stop her, and if this happens, death is basically certain, so players must manage her hair carefully.
- By the way, you can perform the mini-game consecutively, so if her hair condition becomes Bad, you should try to do the mini-game twice in a row to return the condition to Good.
- The speed at which her hair grows depends on the selected difficulty; the higher the difficulty, the faster her hair grows, forcing you to return to her more frequently. Specifically, it takes (to be verified) seconds in Boi Mode, (to be verified) seconds in Default Mode, and 2 minutes and 40 seconds in Brainiac Mode for one stage of growth.
- However, if you perform the mini-game and the hair condition improves, a bonus time is added to the countdown for the next growth. Generally, the bonus time is equal to the time it takes for one stage of hair growth, but only for the second consecutive mini-game is half of that time added. For example, if you perform the mini-game twice in a row the moment her hair condition becomes Bad in Brainiac Mode, the time until the next growth will be 2 minutes and 40 seconds (original growth time) + 2 minutes and 40 seconds (1st bonus time) + 1 minute and 20 seconds (2nd bonus time) = 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
- Perhaps because of her terrifying appearance, your sanity decreases just by being in the same space as her. You should avoid being in the same space as her as much as possible.
- As a side note, she is actually the only character in this game with the ability to decrease sanity.

Hi my friend, wanna play a game? Cut my hairs please, they are long. |
This is said when you do the mini-game when her hair condition is Good or Medium. |
Oh no. Friend, my hairs are growing too fast. Cut my hairs before it's too late. |
This is said when you do the mini-game when her hair condition is Bad. |
Thank you very much! See you next time. | This is said when you finish the mini-game. |
Why do you think so scary? ALL I WANTED TO DO IS PLAYING WITH YOU! |
This is said when she get angry and kill you. |
Side Note
- As mentioned in the Behavior/Characteristics section, she is actually the only character in this game with the ability to decrease sanity.
- By the way, other than approaching her, the only other situation in this game where sanity can decrease is if you run out of time in the Store's Prologue. Because of this, the sanity system's presence is virtually nonexistent.
Incidentally, the air system is worse - In the remastered version, the Prologue was removed, making the sanity system even more negligible... but in version 1.2, with the introduction of Nurse, sanity began to decrease while running and the amount of recovery from deep breathing was reduced, so the importance of sanity suddenly increased, and its nonexistent was dispelled.
- In version 1.3.0, the sanity decrease while running was removed, but instead, sanity now decreases while solving notebooks, so the importance of sanity has not changed.
- By the way, other than approaching her, the only other situation in this game where sanity can decrease is if you run out of time in the Store's Prologue. Because of this, the sanity system's presence is virtually nonexistent.
- In versions alpha 0.0.1.5 to 0.0.1.6, a different character named Kidsy played her role. Kidsy was a character who looked like a boy wearing a swimsuit, and in those versions, you had to go to him regularly and heal the warts that grew on his body.
- In alpha 0.0.1.7, he was replaced by Samara. Since then, there was no opportunity to meet him in the game for a while, but in alpha 0.0.5, the Store system was introduced, and by purchasing and playing the level Kidsy, you could meet him again. However, there is no other way to meet him, making him a very minor character.
- As for the details, you should check the link, but since you cannot interact with Kidsy in his level, the only way to hear his voice is to play the old versions.
- In the remastered version, Kidsy's level was removed, so it is no longer possible to meet him. However, the level data still remains, so you can see his appearance if you use cheats...
- By the way, before alpha 0.0.1.4, a phonograph like Phonty from AEwVS was placed instead, but it only played BGM nearby and did nothing else, so the gimmick of having to return regularly, like Samara's, was first added in alpha 0.0.1.5. Therefore, it can be said that Kidsy served as a prototype for Samara.
