Overview

  • The Store is a system that allows you to purchase special levels by paying ACoin. It was implemented in version alpha 0.0.5.
  • You can access it by pressing the "STORE" button on the title screen.
  • The level name is on the left, and the price is on the right. You can purchase a level by clicking its price and paying ACoin, and you can play a level you have already purchased by clicking its name.
    • In short, it is almost identical to the AEwVS store system.
  • The levels don't have much content, so it's best to think of them as an extra.
  • Before version alpha 0.0.4, Bonus Levels served a similar purpose, allowing you to play special levels for free by pressing the "Bonus Levels" button on the title screen. This page also explains them.
    • Note that the "Bonus Levels" here refer to something completely different from those in the remastered version.
  • In the remastered version, starting with version 1.3.0, it became possible to purchase items as well. As a result, the Store was split into a Level Store for purchasing levels and an Item Store for purchasing items.
    • In this version and later, pressing the "STORE" button displays "LEVELS" and "ITEMS" buttons. Pressing the former takes you to the Level Store, and the latter to the Item Store.
  • In the Item Store, the item icon is on the left and the price is on the right. Clicking the icon allows you to purchase the item and bring it into a level. If you have a level that's too difficult to clear, you can bring an item to lower the difficulty.
    • Specifically, purchased items are stored in an item called the "Item Box." If the Item Box contains at least one item, it is automatically added to the item slot when the level starts. Using this Item Box turns it into an Opened Item Box, and using it again allows you to take out an item. You cannot put an item back in, and the Item Box becomes unusable once all items have been taken out.

Details of each level

MATH ANCIENT

  • You can walk around the map of the earliest version of Math Level.
  • The graphics, voices, and even the UI are from the very first version, making it feel nostalgic for long-time players and fresh for new ones.
  • However, you cannot actually play the game or solve the notebook problems. Since this version is available for free on itch.io, you can download it if you want to play it.
  • Stamina does not decrease, and all doors are open from the start.
  • Before version alpha 0.0.4, it could also be played as a bonus level, and the content was the same.
  • Until version 1.0.0, an arranged version of the theme BGM that plays at the beginning of the Math Level was used, but it was removed in 1.1.0.
  • In the remastered version, the level itself was removed.

SEPTEMBER 1ST

  • A level similar to the old version (before alpha 0.0.4) of Math Level.
  • The graphics and terrain are the same as they were back then, but for some reason, parts of the level have their angles changed, giving it a distorted shape.
  • Due to the distortion, some walls are gone, and you can fall down. If you fall, all your status gauges will be emptied, a mysterious white square will appear in your item slot, and you will become uncontrollable and get stuck.
  • The level has no BGM.
  • This level was removed in version 1.1.0.

KIDSY

  • A level with white terrain floating on a black background. If you fall, you will fall endlessly.
  • There is a child-like figure wearing a swimsuit on the level, but nothing happens if you touch or interact with them.
    • Actually, this figure is a character named Kidsy who served as Samara in versions 0.0.1.5 to 0.0.1.6. In those versions, you had to regularly go to him and heal the warts that would appear on his body.

Untitled1

  • A level with a square-shaped terrain floating on a blue sky background. If you fall, you will fall endlessly.
  • The level has Lucas Golenevsky and Principal, and a single door.
    • Lucas greets you normally at the start of the level.
    • The Principal is initially stationary. If you do something against the school rules, he will drag you away and give you a warning as usual, after which he will start to move freely within the level. For some reason, he doesn't swear after giving a warning. Also, there is no cauldron on the level, but if you break the school rules 4 times, he will execute you by boiling you in a cauldron as a final punishment. However, for some reason, the game over screen never appears and you become unresponsive, so you get stuck.
  • Before version alpha 0.0.4, it could also be played as a bonus level. The content was different back then; it was just a level with a giant Lucas.

Untitled2

  • A level with a square-shaped terrain floating on a blue sky background. If you fall, you will fall endlessly.
  • The level has a larger-than-normal Angelica Wilkins, some debris, a cauldron, and a math notebook.
    • This Angelica is the one used in versions before alpha 0.0.4, and she gives the greeting used in those versions at the start of the level. If you get a wrong answer in the notebook, she gets furious, but she doesn't move(*1). If you touch her when she's furious, you get a normal game over, but for some reason, pressing "Retry" takes you to the Math Level.
  • Before version alpha 0.0.4, it could also be played as a bonus level. Back then, an arranged version of the theme BGM that plays at the beginning of the Math Level was used as the BGM, but it was removed in alpha 0.0.5 and later.

Untitled3

  • A level with a square-shaped terrain floating on a blue sky background. If you fall, you will fall endlessly.
  • The level has several doors and one notebook from each of the story mode levels.
    • Generally, the notebooks function as they normally would, but the music notebook doesn't work correctly, and using it completely freezes the game. Also, only the math notebook plays the ambient BGM of the Math Level if you get a wrong answer.
    • Note that you cannot earn ACoin by solving these notebooks.
    • Originally, there were only math and language notebooks, but new notebooks were added here with each new level update.
      • However, in the remastered version, even after the Computer Science Level was added, its notebook was not added here, so it seems no more notebooks will be added.
  • At the start of the level, what seems to be Angelica's test voice plays. The content is "Oh no Testing testing testing. Just testing. Example number 666 William Thornes Yuy".
    • By the way, there is a completely pointless bug where this voice doesn't play if the language is set to Italian.
    • This voice was removed in the remastered version.

Prologue

  • A level that could be played the first time the game was launched in version alpha 0.0.5. It was added to the Store in alpha 0.0.6.
  • See Prologue for details.

Acoin Giver

  • A dream-like level where a text box appears, and you can get the amount of ACoin you input for free.
  • …That's a complete lie. When you enter a value, the BGM slows down, and you are reprimanded for trying to cheat to get ACoin. What's more, you are forced to forfeit the amount of ACoin you entered.
    • If you enter an amount you cannot pay, you won't be let off the hook; you will be forced to pay the full amount and go into debt. In this case, your coin count will become negative.
    • Also, you might think you could get coins by entering a negative number, but if you do, your thought is seen through, and you are fined 100 ACoin.
    • Therefore, the only way to end this level unscathed is to force-quit the game or enter 0.
  • After being reprimanded and having your ACoin confiscated, the level, and the game itself, are force-closed. It's a completely useless level.
  • …But there is a trick that takes advantage of the fact that you can set the penalty amount yourself. By entering a huge number, you can get a massive fine, which causes your coin count to overflow, and you can gain up to about 2.1 billion ACoin. However, using this trick will take away the fun of collecting ACoin, so use it at your own risk.
  • This level was removed in version 1.1.0. Therefore, the trick above is no longer possible, but you can use an archive of the game and this trick to start a new game with 2.1 billion ACoin, like a New Game+. See here for details.

Free Mode

  • You can play Free Mode which was added in the remastered version 1.2.0 and scrapped in 1.3.0. See the link for details.

Untitled1

  • A level with a square-shaped terrain floating on a blue sky background. If you fall, you will fall endlessly.
  • The content is different from the level of the same name that can be purchased in the store; for some reason it is just a level with a giant Lucas.
  • In version alpha 0.0.5, the content of the level was changed, and it was moved to the store.

Untitled2

  • Basically the same as the level of the same name that can be purchased in the store.
  • However, back then, an arranged version of the theme BGM that plays at the beginning of the Math Level was used as the BGM.
  • In version alpha 0.0.5, the BGM was removed, and it was moved to the store.

MathAncient

  • The same as MATH ANCIENT that can be purchased in the store.
  • In version alpha 0.0.5, it was moved to the store.

AdvancedEducation

  • As the level name suggests, this is a level reminiscent of AEwVS.
  • It is a level with a narrow, square-shaped terrain and just Viktor Strobovski. When the level starts, his greeting voice plays.
    • By the way, his graphics and voice are only used here.
  • It has BGM, playing "Overture To The Sun," the main theme of AEwVS. This BGM is different from the one that plays in Puss Mode or on the title screen, and it is also only used here.
  • In this level, the cockpit is not displayed. The sky is the default blue sky, and you fall if you go outside the level.
  • In version alpha 0.0.5, the content was significantly changed, and it was removed. You cannot see it in normal gameplay, but you can use cheats to see the changed map. See here for more details.
  • In the remastered version, the level data itself was removed.

MarziaChase

  • A level like the room with the 10th language notebook in AEwVS's Language Level.
    • The colors are slightly different, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. The door at the entrance is gone, and it's pitch black beyond it, so you can't go outside. The cockpit is not displayed.
  • When the level starts, Marzia's voice plays. It's the exact same as her voice before the final chase in AEwVS.
  • After her voice finishes, her chase theme, "Discordia," starts playing, just like in AEwVS. Up to this point, it's almost identical to AEwVS, but here, you are returned to the main menu at the exact moment Marzia is supposed to burst out.
  • The BGM and Marzia's voice used here are exclusive to this level.
  • It was removed in version alpha 0.0.5.
  • In the remastered version, the level data itself was removed.

Side note

  • Most of the removed levels still have their level data left behind. Therefore, you can try to access them using cheats.
    • However, in the remastered version, you are returned to the title screen the moment you try to access them, so you can't play them. But for a brief moment, you can see what the level looks like, so you can still see KIDSY's figure in the remastered version. Also, some of the bonus levels have had their level data completely removed in the remastered version, so you cannot access them.
