"Now try to kill me, if you really are capable of!"

Overview
- William Thorne is the root of all evil in this game.
- He is a strange being in the form of a humanoid white aura.
- He possesses a power that can be called a curse, which allows him to manipulate the minds of others, and he uses this curse to control the teachers at will.
- The reason why the teachers have been immediately enraged and tried to kill you after a single incorrect answer is due to his curse.
- The protagonist, Emily, fights to break his curse and save everyone.
- He appears only in Final Era Level and stands as the final boss of the game.
Behavior
- Although he only appears as an enemy in Final Era Level, his voice also appears in Tutorial level. At this time, he appears only as a voice in response to Helpscreen's call and argues with him.
- At this time, his form cannot be seen, and he does not attack you. Does he have a telepathy ability or something?
- In the remastered version, this scene was cut, so he no longer has any opportunity to appear outside of Final Era Level.
- After the tutorial level, he does not have any notable appearances until Final Era Level, but since the teachers' immediate rage upon an incorrect answer is due to William's curse, it can be said that he is active in the background.
- In Final Era Level, he is waiting in the "William's Office" room at the deepest part of the level, and the player finally confronts him.
- At the back of this room, the teachers are lined up in capsules, which makes it clear that he really is making them his puppets.
- After that, he declares war on you, and the player takes on the final battle with him.
- In the final battle, the goal is to run away from him as he approaches and throw desks scattered along the way to deplete his health.
- On the other hand, he just chases you at a constant speed, but his pursuit speed is unusually fast, and combined with the level's mechanics, he boasts a strength worthy of this game's final boss.
- Furthermore, in a crazy twist, if he catches up to you, Emily's soul is also made his puppet, and it immediately leads to a bad ending and destroys the save data. The bad ending screen shows Emily put into a capsule with the teachers, and combined with the slowing BGM and the save data deletion notification, it gives the player a tremendous sense of despair.
- If you manage to deplete his health, his body color changes to black, and he becomes flustered as he cannot accept the reality, but in the end, he accepts defeat and disappears.
- Before he accepts defeat, a noise interrupts his voice. He accepts defeat immediately after that, so he probably has almost no power left to even speak.
- In the remastered version, his appearance is the same, but his voice has been replaced with a surprisingly refreshing, handsome voice. The replacement voice has a flat tone with little emotional change, and it seems that some people feel the classic version was better in this regard.
