Overview
- Prologue is a level that can be played when the game is first launched on the remastered version 1.4.0 or later.
- This level depicts the process of Emily enrolling in school, serving as the prologue for the entire game.
- It has a strong event-based aspect with very few obstacles, making it easy to clear once you understand the controls.
- Note that it is completely different from the prologue in the classic version. For that, please refer to Prologue.

- When the level begins, a movie is inserted. The video has a retro feel, and someone who appears to be a school official narrates the beginning of the game's story.
- After the movie ends, you wake up in front of the school's entrance. It's a grassy area surrounded by a fence with nothing much to see, so enter the school straight ahead.
- By the way, the school's appearance is a brick wall with "ANGELICA'S SCHOOL" written prominently on it.
- Once inside the school, there is a straight path leading to an elevator. There is nothing else, so just walk straight ahead.
- Press the button next to the elevator to open the door. Pressing the button inside the elevator will close it. When the door closes, the level is cleared and you are transferred to the title screen.
- In version 1.4.2, a school gate and a second building were added. However, you can't proceed beyond either of them(*1), so it's just a change in scenery.
- Also, with this version, the body temperature system was introduced, and the outdoor area's temperature was set to be low. Because of this, staying outside for too long will cause you to die. You will automatically restart right away so it doesn't cause much trouble, but it's better to be careful.
Side Note
- Similar to the classic version's prologue, this level can only be played when there is no saved game data on the device. By making the game not recognize any saved data, you can play this level at any time. For more details, refer to here.
- When Emily wakes up, she mutters "What is this place?". This is actually the only scene in the remastered version where you can hear her voice.
- In the classic version, you could hear her voice in the Tutorial level, but that scene was cut in the remastered version. For a long time, her voice couldn't be heard until this level was added, which finally allowed players to hear her voice again.
