"No running in the corridors during the lesson."

Overview
- Principal is one of the main secondary characters in this game.
- He looks like a monochrome illustration of a man in a suit without a jacket. However, he has no facial features.
- But when he gets furious, his whole body turns red and a terrifying face appears. Also, while he normally holds up one finger, he holds up two when he gets furious.
- He is a character who plays a similar role to Head Teacher (Laura) in AEwVS, constantly keeping an eye out for students violating school rules and punishing those who do.
- He has a lot in common with her; most of his actions are the same as hers, as is his appearance as a monochrome illustration of a person in official attire, and the fact that his body turns red and a face appears when he gets furious, as well as many of his lines.
- On the other hand, his voice and appearance are masculine, suggesting that he was designed to be her counterpart while also paying homage to her.
- He also shares the same name and pose with the Principal from BBiEaL.
- He has a lot in common with her; most of his actions are the same as hers, as is his appearance as a monochrome illustration of a person in official attire, and the fact that his body turns red and a face appears when he gets furious, as well as many of his lines.
- It was revealed in Christmas Curse and the remastered version that his real name is "Mark the Principal."
- In the remastered version, his appearance and voice were completely changed, and he was reborn as a ghost-like figure of a tall, monochrome man in a suit with a jacket.
- He appears in almost all levels, similar to Jimmy and others.
Behavior
- He patrols the level at a high speed, and when he finds you doing something that violates school rules, he will inform you and start chasing you to catch you.
+ | School Rule Violations |
- When he catches you, he takes you to the punishment room. While being escorted, most of your controls are disabled, so once you are caught, being escorted to the punishment room is guaranteed.
- However, you can still throw items into the trash can, take a deep breath, use an item, and move your viewpoint. The first three are particularly useful, so it's good to remember them (details later).
- Also, while you are being escorted, you are invincible, but unlike Head Teacher, the teachers continue to move normally. In some cases, you might get caught the moment you arrive at the punishment room.
- In the remastered version, if you try to use a Teleporter while being escorted, it will fail, so wait until you get to the punishment room to use it.
- When you arrive at the punishment room, he will tell you to stay for a certain amount of time and how many warnings this is, swear at you, and then resume his patrol. The remaining time for detention is displayed in the center of the screen, and the door to the punishment room is locked until it reaches 0.
- The detention time increases each time you are escorted. The first time is 10 seconds, the second is 30 seconds, the third is 45 seconds, and the fourth time results in execution (details later).
- The door is locked until the remaining time reaches 0, but you can escape by using a Blue door key to open the door, by rushing out the moment he opens the door to resume his patrol, or in the remastered version, by using a Teleporter to warp. However, if he sees you outside the punishment room with time remaining, you will be escorted again, so it's generally better to wait.
- You cannot move until he finishes telling you how many warnings this is. If a teacher comes at this time, use a defensive item to survive. In the remastered version, using a Teleporter is also an option.
- If you are escorted 3 times, he will tell you that this is the last warning. If you are escorted one more time, he will declare that he will give you the final punishment and you will be executed, resulting in a game over. For this reason, the fourth escort essentially means game over.
- The method of execution varies by level, but the flow is the same: he declares the method of execution, his appearance changes as he gets furious, and he escorts you to the execution site at a high speed.
- By the way, if you get a game over by execution, you will transition to a dedicated game over screen depending on the method. Since this is the only time you get to see it, it might be worth checking it out once.
- In the remastered version, this unique scene has been removed as the game over screens have been unified. However, the message "You have been killed by Mark the Principal" is only seen when you are executed, so in that sense, it can be said to be a dedicated scene.
+ | Execution Methods |
- His movement speed is extremely fast (the same as your running speed), and if he starts chasing you, he will catch up even if you run while recovering stamina. On top of that, once he starts chasing, he will pursue you indefinitely until he catches you, so it's almost impossible to outrun him. If you don't want to be escorted, you basically have to make sure he doesn't see you violating the rules.
- For this reason, once you are being chased, resistance is basically meaningless, but unlike Head Teacher, even if you are solving a notebook or cutting Samara's hair while being escorted, the task is not interrupted, and you can continue it. If you can start these tasks after being chased, you can safely escape to the punishment room while doing the task. If the task takes a long time, you can also make effective use of the detention time. This technique is especially effective when being chased by Ertoo (details later), so it's good to remember.
- However, if you do a long-term task near the punishment room while a teacher is nearby, you might get caught without being able to do anything, so you should think carefully about the situation when using this technique.

- On top of that, he has a super long-range, omnidirectional field of view, so it's risky to violate rules in long corridors. If you want to violate rules, you should do it in a small space like a classroom or a place that is off his patrol route.
- If you get caught by Ertoo Walkatosia and delete the Wi-Fi system, he will chase you just like when you violate a school rule. In this case, because the Wi-Fi is destroyed, some functions become unusable, and you won't be able to use items for a while, which can put you in a tough spot. You'll also be publicly shamed by name while being cursed for destroying the Wi-Fi.
- As mentioned in the overview, in the remastered version, his appearance and voice were completely changed, and he was reborn as a ghost-like figure of a tall, monochrome man in a suit with a jacket.
- The fact that he has no facial features and that his whole body turns red when he gets furious is the same, but if you look closely, his feet are transparent, and when he is furious, instead of facial features appearing, two large horns grow on his head. From these things, it's possible that his setting in the remastered version was changed to be a kind of evil spirit.
- In version 1.3.0 of the remastered version, a fire alarm was added, and if you press it, after a while, you will be identified as the culprit who pressed the fire alarm for no reason and will be escorted just like for a school rule violation. Why was this added...

Side Note
- Actually, in versions before 1.0.0, there was a bug where if the player entered a narrow space during a chase, he would stop moving completely after that.
- It has been fixed in 1.1.0 and the remastered version, but it is still usable in the old classic version.
- In Hardcore mode of the classic version and versions of the remastered version before 1.3.1, there was a bug where if you were killed by him in Math Level or Science Level, you could continue from that level instead of having to start over from the beginning.
- However, since these two levels are not that difficult to begin with, and it's hard to trigger the bug when you are in a tight spot, its usefulness is quite questionable.
- It was fixed in version 1.4.0 of the remastered version.
- Actually, the insult line for the first escort is fixed, and he will always say either "You can't go to the final era floor." or "Noboddy can go up to the last floor."
- In the remastered version, the latter line has been deleted, so he will always say the former line.
