Overview
- Flaggerong Flagensky is a teacher who appears in the remastered version's second bonus level.
- He is in charge of the national flag subject and appears as a teacher in National Flags Level.
- His name in Japanese would be something like "Furagerongu Furagensukii."
- He looks like a man in a black suit, but his head is a simple face drawn on a white flag.
- This face seems to be heavily involved in his actions, and he becomes unable to move if it is repainted with a different pattern.
- From his name to his appearance, he is a teacher who embodies a flag.
- Even though William Thorne's curse should have been broken, like the previous teachers, if you get even one of his problems wrong, he will immediately fly into a rage, his eyes glowing red, and he will try to kill you.
Behavior
- His behavior is similar to that of Angelica Wilkins.
- Just like her, he moves by repeatedly advancing for a certain interval and then stopping.
- When he moves forward, a "goth" sound like a leather shoe being dragged is heard.
- His movement speed is about the same as hers, and it is considered to be quite fast.
- Specifically, in Default mode, his speed becomes almost the same as your walking speed after you get about 25 questions wrong, and in Brainiac mode, it reaches this speed after about 20 mistakes.
- Although his movement speed is on the faster side, he doesn't have any special abilities, so dealing with him is generally not that difficult.
- However, Brainiac mode is an exception; in the late stages, he will chase you at a speed that rivals your own, and since he can't be made to retreat like Angelica, it becomes extremely difficult to gain distance. You should either secure food items in advance and run at full speed or bring a Time Freezer with you.
- By using the Color Chalk Piece item when you are close to him, you can repaint his flag with a collage of various national flag patterns and stall him for a certain period, just like the previous Tatiana Anderson. The fact that his hitbox disappears while he is stalled and that he cannot be made to retreat are also the same.
- The same goes for the fact that this is only effective for up to 3 times, and on the 4th time, he will instantly kill you when he resumes his pursuit. For this reason, just like before, the 4th use is effectively a game over, so be careful.
- When you collect all 20 notebooks, you will enter a final chase with him. He will ask you if you really think it's over, and tell you that there is still a 21st notebook to collect. He then resumes the pursuit as the background music starts.
- Unlike before, in this final chase, you must correctly solve the 21st notebook that appears in a random location. What's more, the notebook has a lot of questions(*1), and the questions have also changed to asking for the country where a certain dish is traditional. On top of that, if you get even one question wrong, you will be instantly killed and it's an immediate game over.
- For this reason, being able to answer the questions correctly is a prerequisite. If you're not confident you can answer them properly, it would be a good idea to practice in Puss mode. The questions and answers themselves are listed on the National Flags Level page, so if you find studying or preparing a hassle, it would be a good idea to look at this and memorize them.
- Also, since he naturally doesn't stop chasing you while you're solving the problems, it's best not to solve the notebook right after you find it. Instead, lure him as far away as possible, then quickly return, create a large distance, and then solve it.
- If you successfully solve all the notebook problems correctly, his anger will subside, and the chase will stop. After that, he will praise you and allow you to leave this floor. The player then heads to the elevator as he says and proceeds to the Gardening level.
