Overview
- Free mode is a new mode that was added in version 1.2 of the remastered version. It was released on New Year's Day, 2025.
- It is a mode where you explore outside the school, and the goal is to stop William's plan to conquer even the outside world, not just the school.
- This mode is a complete departure from previous content, as not only the setting but also the mechanics are different, so it requires a different kind of gameplay than before.
- In this mode, you can also meet "Nucleus," the center of everything in this game.
- At this stage, it is still Season 0 and is in an unfinished state, but it was planned to have more elements added as the seasons progressed. ...However, in an announcement on April 4, 2025, it was announced that all future updates for this mode have been canceled due to a change in direction. In version 1.3.0, which was released after this announcement, the button to access this mode was removed and this mode was moved to the Store. It seems unlikely that this mode will be updated again, but you can currently play the Season 0 state by paying 500 ACoin in the store.

Strategy
- When the mode begins, an explanation by Helpscreen starts. Here, William's plans, the existence of Nucleus, and the purpose of this mode are explained.
- However, the tasks for the objective have not been implemented, so all you can do is walk around the field.
- Surprisingly, this mode is always in a third-person view. It's a guaranteed surprise since it has always been in a first-person view, but the controls and feel are almost the same, so there is no problem with operating it as you would normally.
- In this mode, you can open an emotion wheel by pressing the B key. The wheel has action commands, and you can make Emily perform that action by selecting a command. It's quite a fresh experience to see her, who has not shown any flashy movements before, do so in third-person view.
- The only action implemented is dancing, where she performs a dance to the music that plays. However, it seems to have no particular effect.
Side Note
- This mode was locked until New Year's Day, 2025, but it was revealed that it was designed to be easily unlocked by simply changing the PC's system time.
- Fortunately, this does not seem to have been exploited, but it is a rather worrying story.
