ファルコム音楽をこよなく愛する日本人のファンです。

Falcom Sound Team jdkの楽曲や作曲者について調べることを長年のライフワークとしており、楽曲ごとの担当作曲者の推測や、サウンドメンバーの活動をまとめています。

このWikiを立ち上げた経緯は？

以前はFC2ブログで作曲者の推測や考察を公開していましたが、過去記事の加筆・修正や情報整理には限界を感じていました。

また、「みんなで決めるゲーム音楽ベスト100まとめwiki」でもファルコム関連の記事を執筆・編集していましたが、より体系的に情報を整理・公開するため、自身でWikiを立ち上げることにしました。

記事の作成や編集はできますか？

本Wikiは管理人が個人で運営・編集しているサイトのため、現在のところ共同編集者の募集は行っておりません。

閲覧専用となりますが、コメントや投票機能はご利用いただけますので、ご意見やご感想などお気軽にご参加ください。

記事に主観が入ることはありますか？

できる限り客観的な記述を心掛けていますが、楽曲推測やプロフィール記事などでは、管理人個人の見解や憶測を含む場合があります。

その点をご理解いただいたうえで、一つの考察としてお楽しみいただければ幸いです。

なぜ作曲者の推測をしているのですか？

理由はいくつかあります。

• ファルコム音楽、そしてゲーム音楽そのものが好きだから。
• 曲ごとの作曲・編曲者を知ることで、曲をより深く楽しめると考えているから。
• 「この曲はいったい誰が作ったのだろう」という純粋な探究心があるから。
• Falcom Sound Team jdkというクリエイター集団そのものに興味があるから。
• サウンドチーム名だけでなく、一人ひとりの作曲家にもスポットライトが当たってほしいと思っているから。

このWikiの目的は？

本Wikiの目的は、大きく二つあります。

• 公式では十分に公開されていない楽曲ごとの作曲者・編曲者情報を、可能な限り整理・共有すること。
• Falcom Sound Team jdkの各コンポーザーやアレンジャーの功績をまとめ、その活動を後世へ伝えていくこと。

推測歴

作曲者の推測は2016年頃、『東亰ザナドゥ』をきっかけに開始しました。

もともとはゲーム音楽データベース「VGMdb」のフォーラムで、海外ファンによる作曲者推測の議論を目にしたことがきっかけです。その頃から自分でも分析を始め、現在まで継続しています。

好きなファルコムゲーム

『東亰ザナドゥ』『イースVIII -Lacrimosa of DANA-』『英雄伝説 閃の軌跡II』など。

とはいえ、シリーズ全体を通して好きな作品が多く、一つに絞るのはなかなか難しいところです。

好きなファルコムのサウンドトラック

どの時代のファルコムサウンドにもそれぞれ異なる魅力があり、昔の作品から最新作まで幅広く楽しんでいます。

そのため、「一番好きな一枚」を選ぶのは難しいというのが正直なところです。

ファルコム音楽に目覚めた曲

『英雄伝説 空の軌跡FC』の「虚ろなる光の封土」をはじめとする『空の軌跡』シリーズの楽曲です。

この作品との出会いをきっかけにファルコム音楽へ深く惹かれ、現在に至るまで聴き続けています。

I'm a Japanese man. The name is just "Admin", "遊和", "yuKazu" and so on. This wiki is personally edited and managed.

• About the Wiki’s name

I like “jdkManiacs” because it fits well. “jdk” alone can be confused with Java Development Kit.
“Falcom Sound Team jdk Maniacs@Wiki” is a bit long. Anything like jdkwiki is fine.

• Looks familiar. Have I seen you before?

I have been writing on blogs for a long time now, including my current blog called “妄想シンフォニー”. But it was difficult to notify updates while editing past articles, and the spreadsheet that I ran in the past left me unsatisfied because of Google's lack of customization. So I simply moved to a lighter wiki.

• Some of the text looks familiar. Have you been writing articles somewhere else?

I have also been writing and editing articles related to Falcom Sound Team jdk at "みんなで決めるゲーム音楽ベスト100まとめwiki". However, in order to freely express my thoughts, I figured that it would be faster and more efficient to set up a wiki on my own.

• Why are you guessing the composers?

1. To figure out who made my favorite songs, and who didn’t.
2. To satisfy my intellectual curiosity about Falcom Sound Team jdk.
3. Because it’s uncomfortable to have a lot of “team” names in the playlist, instead of individuals.
4. It’s frustrating to see how information that should be disclosed is not revealed.
5. I prefer individualism over collectivism.
6. I like the transparency of information.

• Not enough data for the maniacs

That’s because I started guessing about 3 years ago, but I do plan to analyze the CDs released before 2001 in the future. That being said, I do not intend to explore the FM era (prior to 1997).
 

• The explanation is difficult to understand

Since this is essentially a wiki that I have put together on my own, I tend to use self-explanatory sentences. But it's easier to understand the explanations while listening to the music.

• Fevorite music genre

Game music: Falcom, of course. I also like music from Gust, Square Enix, etc.
Classical music: I listen to everything, ranging from old to contemporary music.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky or Ys I&II Complete, both on Windows.

Ys VIII, Tokyo Xanadu, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II

• Fevorite Falcom soundtrack

I basically like all the original soundtracks, I also like the arranged albums by Sound Team jdk very much. I don't listen to outsourced albums very often, though.

• What songs awakened your interest in Falcom music?

"Hollow Light of the Sealed Land" (Trails in the Sky): I didn't feel anything when I first heard to it, but later on I felt a revelation.
"Recapture" (Trails in the Sky): It may seem like a surprising choice, but I was always attracted to intense orchestra songs because I already liked classical music at that time.

• Fevorite Falcom songs

All songs composed by Takahiro Unisuga and Wataru Ishibashi, without exception. It’s hard to choose.

• Favorite Falcom composer

Unisuga and Ishibashi once again. I respect people who make precise, high quality songs.

• What game music do you listen to besides Falcom?

Atelier (Arland/Dusk/Mysterious series), Final Fantasy XIII series (XIII/XIII-2/Lightning Returns).

• Guessing history

I’ve been guessing since Tokyo Xanadu came out, I'm relatively a newcomer. I started guessing after seeing foreigners trying to guess at the VGMdb forums. If I didn't look at the Tokyo Xanadu thread, neither I nor this wiki would probably be here today.

• How do you listen to music?

I purchase the albums, then rip them in lossless quality. For titles without soundtrack releases, I listen to game rips.

• How do I create or edit articles?

This wiki managed by myself, regular users can't create or edit pages. But you can still vote and comment.

• Ads are annoying
