51 Grenade Demolitions Unit

Mission Text

The presence of a large Grenadier unit has been confirmed. Though they're located in an evacuated area, they're only a few kilometers away from the city. They need to be stopped here.

The plan is to destroy their grenades using long-range rifle fire. Rendezvous with the sniper team and provide assistance.

Mission Start

Soldier: Grenadiers incoming!
Soldier: What an army!
Leader: Ready arms!
Leader: Kepler, steady aim!
Leader: Show them the true power of the Blue Jackets!
Leader: Attack!
Leader: The enemy keeps rushing in! Blow them all away!
Leader: You grubby grenadiers! I'll show you how powerless you are against a sniper!
Leader: Shoot the ones clumped together and blow 'em up all at once!
Leader: We've got Keplers! Take care of them before they get too close!
Soldier: They're charging in blindly! One after the other!
Soldier: We're sitting ducks here!
Soldier: I feel like the hero of some zombie movie.
Soldier: It had better have a happy ending, buddy...
Leader: It's over if they get too close. Shoot 'em down!
Leader: Aim for their grenades! Blow them to smithereens!
Leader: We are done for if this gets out of hand! Stop the monsters before they close in!
Soldier: There are too many! We can't kill them all!
Soldier: There are more than expected!
Leader: Calm down! Take them down one by one!
Major: There are Giant Grenadiers called "Cannonballs." They've got powerful bombs in their artillery.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: More are coming! From the sides!
Soldier: Enemy approaching from the side!
Soldier: There are too many! We can't stop them by ourselves!

Major: The evolved enemy ships are releasing what appear to be landing vessels in the sky over the city.
Headquarters: Landing vessels?
Major: We don't have any data on the types of aliens inside the landing vessels.
Headquarters: There's a new type of alien?!

(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: On our left and right! A pincer attack!
Soldier: They're attacking all at once!
Soldier: Enemy approaching from behind!
Soldier: We can't handle any more!
Soldier: Dammit! We can kiss our happy ending goodbye...

(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: More of them!
Soldier: Giant Grenadiers ahead!
Leader: Enemy Cannonballs!
Leader: The bigger they come, the harder the punch their grenades pack! Keep your distance!
Leader: Take down the big ones! They're the bigger threat!

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Major: Checking for survivors. But you know...
Major: This can't be a coincidence. That's the only way this makes sense.

52 Demons Descend

Mission Text

The information we're receiving is starting to get complicated. It seems that strange aliens have appeared from the enemy dropships.

The battlefield is reportedly in chaos. Head to the indicated location at once to take part in the battle.

Mission Start

Headquarters: Aliens are descending from the enemy ships.
Headquarters: Tanks, hurry up and deploy.
Headquarters: Approach carefully. We've got no intel on this opponent.
Blacker Crew: Tank leader here. We're forming the wall.
Soldier: Small vessels breaking away from the main ship!
Soldier: It's an alien landing ship!
Headquarters: The tanks will form a wall. Infantry should shoot from behind.

Soldier: An unknown species, huh?
Soldier: They look...gross.
Soldier: It's no good. Those things really are monsters.
Soldier: No, they're worse than monsters. Something more sadistic. Pure evil.
Soldier: They've gotta be cursed!
Leader: Don't give into fear! We have to finish this!
Leader: Remember your pride as a warrior! I need you to pull out all the courage you've got--and fight!
Leader: They may be grotesque, but they die just like any other lifeform. They're no match for us!

Soldier: My bullets don't phase them!
Soldier: They've got shields!
Soldier: No way! They're deflecting our bullets?

Major: We've got intel from the Advanced Technologies Lab. Apparently, the enemy shields' defensive capabilities are limited.
Headquarters: Excuse me!?
Major: Their shields are depleted when you attack them. Once a shield reaches its limit, it turns black. It essentially overheats and won't be able to function for a while.
Headquarters: Got it. Then keep hitting those shields 'til they overheat.
Major: First, overheat their shields. Then aim for the main body.

Soldier: That must be their death cry!
Soldier: So bullets can take them out! They're the same as the rest of 'em!

Soldier: What an agonizing way to go!
Soldier: Those things are cursed. Will I really be okay?

(Eliminate the enemies)
Soldier: Another alien, done and dusted.
Soldier: D-did we get them all?
Headquarters: Not yet. Another enemy ship is approaching.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Small vessels detached!
Headquarters: All units, battle stations. The aliens are coming.

Soldier: The aliens have multiple shields!
Soldier: The aliens are equipped with two shields!
Soldier: Ugh, they're impenetrable! They're blocking every shot!
Headquarters: The number of shields doesn't change the strategy. Overheat them first.
Soldier: Keep shooting the shields! Overheat them before going for the body!

Headquarters: Hold your position. Tanks will be there soon.

(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Blacker Crew: Tank leader here, reporting for duty.
Blacker Crew: These guys won't go down with just infantry. We'll provide artillery support.
Headquarters: The tanks have arrived. Rendezvous with them.
Blacker Crew: Infantry! Use the tanks as cover and attack.

(Eliminate the enemies)
Soldier: Incoming enemy ship!

(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship releasing landing boats!
Soldier: They're coming back for more.
Soldier: I can't stand this anymore. I'm gonna lose it.
Soldier: Push those aliens back! We will stop them here!
Soldier: I'm scared. They're comin' for me!
Soldier: We're cursed! I'm tellin' ya! Cursed!
Soldier: Morale is down. Some of our soldiers are losing it. Send somebody--anybody.

Headquarters: We're in no situation to be holding back. Fight with everything you've got.
Headquarters: Powered exoskeletons, can you deploy?
Nix Crew: We're the only ones that can fight at their level. We'll stop repairs and join the battle.
Spriggan Leader: We can resupply later. Heading out.

(The 3rd wave of allies appears)
Nix Crew: Powered Exoskeleton Team here. Engaging.
Spriggan Leader: We'll head out as well.

Major: Such power... Those aliens are superior lifeforms, all right. This must be what it means to be a Primer.
Headquarters: We wouldn't last against this alien species in a drawn-out battle.
Major: We are currently strategizing.
Major: Henceforth, we will call this alien a Kruul.
Headquarters: The name of a mythical beast, huh? Don't give those things such an exaggerated title. It'll only scare the soldiers.

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Headquarters: These aliens hold immense power. The battle is only uphill from here.

53 Artillery Charge

Mission Text

The presence of aliens with long-range guns has been confirmed. Outpost 267 has been destroyed by shelling. Damage is starting to spread inside the city as well. The enemy is using howitzers with ranges of over 30 kilometers capable of highly precise targeting. Given these characteristics, we've decided that close-range combat using infantry would be the best course of attack. It's a dangerous mission, but you need to approach the enemy unit while avoiding fire. Destroy them with a close-range strike.

Mission Start

Headquarters: We've got coordinates on the enemy's bombardment team. Get close and clear them out.
Soldier: Incoming fire!
Soldier: That is one hell of a weapon!
Headquarters: The enemy is very accurate, so don't stand still. Keep moving.
Headquarters: The enemy is using long-range artillery. They can accurately hit a target up to 30 kilometers away. It is a weapon for attacking bases, but it's not suited to hit moving targets. Show them a thing or two about close-range combat.

Soldier: Now that thing has "bad guy" written all over it!
Soldier: Are these the so-called Kruuls?
Soldier: I heard they were invincible! What do we do?
Soldier: Stay calm and shoot. They'll go down like anything else!

Major: The Kruuls have started invading. We're engaging them at multiple locations.
Headquarters: The troops are shaking at just the sound of their name.
Major: They're no gods. Their name has no meaning. Make sure the soldiers understand that.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship detected!
Soldier: It's releasing a landing ship!
Soldier: Landing ship approaching!
Headquarters: Aliens incoming.
Soldier: They're coming down!
Soldier: It's a demon army!
Soldier: What kind of weapon IS that?
Soldier: The enemy appears to have a large cannon.
Headquarters: What could they be planning?
Maj's Subordinate: Aliens with heavy arms. They must be guards for their artillery.
Headquarters: So they predicted we would attack their artillery.
Headquarters: The enemy is using new weaponry. Proceed with caution.
Major: We need to collect more data. To get a grasp for their weapons' capabilities, draw out the battle for as long as you can.
Soldier: Demons!
Soldier: Kruuls are just another kind of lifeform. They just look different.

Major: Several bases have been attacked by Kruuls. They are all key locations for supplies and personnel. The enemy clearly knows our movements and are outsmarting us.
Headquarters: They have intel on us. The Kruuls have some sort of secret.

(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Leader: Anti-materiel rifle team R3 here. Joining the battle.
Headquarters: We're counting on you.

(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: So the enemy's got rifle units of their own, huh? I'll show them we're superior.

(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship detected!
Soldier: It's an enemy landing ship!
Headquarters: Here they come! Surface unit, brace yourselves!
Soldier: Enemy artillery unit confirmed. It's guarded by a convoy.
Headquarters: Eliminate the guards and defeat the artillery unit.
Headquarters: The enemy's weapon is powerful. Keep your distance.
Maj's Subordinate: Actually, you'd be better off in close combat. Their weapon has range and power, but takes time between each shot to reload. Get close enough to take advantage of that reload window.
Headquarters: Okay. So that weapon isn't all-powerful. Timing is key.
Headquarters: The strength of one's weapon alone doesn't determine the outcome of battle. Show them the reality of war.

(The 3rd wave of allies appears)
Leader(F): Fencer here. We can draw their artillery fire.
Headquarters: Don't overestimate your shields. It's too risky.
Leader(F): I can't just standby and watch others die. I'm going in.

(Join the Fencer team)
Leader(F): Amazing. You're still alive.

Major: We've lost Alaska Base 6 to the Kruuls.
Headquarters: That can't be! How does the enemy know about the underground facility?
Major: Only those with A-Class clearance knew about Base 6. It even has a cloaking function.
Headquarters: This base was only known to a select few, and it is impossible to spot from above. There's no way they would target it...unless they knew.
Major: How is the enemy getting their intel? If we don't figure that out, we cannot win this war.

(Annihilate all the enemies)

54 Death Race I

Mission Text

A new type of enemy spacecraft has appeared above the city. Ground units, prepare for Androids to be dropped. Two infantry teams, Delta and Charlie, are already on the move. If there's an emergency, rendezvous with the other teams and adapt to the situation.

Mission Start

Soldier: That's a huge fleet.
Leader: The enemy ships are trying to infest the town with monsters! Well, it's not gonna happen!
Leader: Time to do some extermination!
Soldier: Is this the 2nd troop of the Earth invasion forces?
Headquarters: Hostiles are raining down. Proceed with caution. Foot soldiers, don't stray too far from the tanks.

Soldier: Enemy ship on the way!
Soldier: They just don't stop coming.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship flying in!
Soldier: They activated their teleporter!
Soldier: What is up with these guys?!

(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Soldier: They're fast!
Maj's Subordinate: Those Androids are high mobility models!
Maj's Subordinate: Relocate immediately!
Headquarters: Those Androids are bad news. Fall back.
Headquarters: Team Delta is to the left. Link up with them.
Leader: Come on, this way!
Blacker Crew: Forget the tanks. Go!
Leader: Group up with Delta! Keep moving!
Soldier: They're tailing us!
Leader: We don't have the numbers for this! Keep them at bay but stay on the move!
Headquarters: Avoid fighting in small numbers. Regroup first, and then fight back.
Soldier: They're at our heels, just like that!
Soldier: We can't shake them!
Blacker Crew: They're flying! Flying all over the place!
Soldier: More like swinging around! I can see a cable or something!
Soldier: Dammit! Those bastards are using the buildings!
Soldier: That damages the architecture! Cut it out!
Soldier: They're zipping around with wires! Not even death frightens those things!
Soldier: It's a circus of death out here!
Leader: Don't stop to try and fight them properly. It's too risky! Delta's right there!

(If the 2nd wave of enemies is eliminated before the Player arrives at the Delta position)
Headquarters: Chop-chop. Group up with Delta.

(Approach the Delta position)
Leader: This way! Get a move on!

(Enter the Delta position)
Leader: Machine acrobats?! I can't get a good shot. They're too fast!

(Join the Delta's Ranger team)
Leader: What a terrifying enemy. But we're going to survive, just you wait.

(Eliminate the enemies)
Leader: Charlie is straight ahead. Let's help them out.

(The 3rd wave of enemies and the 3rd wave of allies appear)
Soldier: Enemy ships!
Soldier: The enemy ship is producing Androids!
Soldier: High mobility models approaching!
Headquarters: Divided you're gonna get picked off one by one. Group up, then fend them off together with Charlie.
Leader: Charlie's just ahead. It's not safe but I'm heading over.
Leader: Dead ahead! Let's go!
Leader: On the move! Linking up with Charlie!
Blacker Crew: We'll bring up the rear.
Headquarters: Rendezvous with Charlie.

Soldier: They're moving by way of those wires.
Soldier: You're taking too long! Don't stop!
Soldier: It's like they're flying all over the place! I can't keep them in my sights!
Leader: You keep shooting, you're bound to hit 'em!

Headquarters: Take them on once you've grouped up. Fall back to Charlie's position.

(If the 3rd wave of enemies is eliminated before the Player arrives at the Charlie position)
Headquarters: Did you lose them? Good. Link up with Charlie.

(Approach the Charlie position)
Gravis Crew: The Heavy Powered Exoskeleton Gravis. It's ready to go.

Leader: This way! Get a move on!

(Enter the Charlie position)
Leader: Here's where we make our stand!
Leader: We make our defenses impenetrable and we make it out alive. Are we clear?
Leader: It's a Gravis Powered Exoskeleton. The armor's tougher than a Nix.

(Join the Ranger team of 1st wave)
Leader: Grouping up with Charlie!

(Join the Charlie's Ranger team)
Leader: We're going home alive.

(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship passing through!

Soldier: Androids coming in hot!
Headquarters: Enemies incoming.
Headquarters: Don't leave your Powered Exoskeleton. We need to hold the line and keep them away.
Leader: They're flanking! Keep your heads on a swivel!
Leader: Fire! Don't let those mobile types get close!
Leader: They're no threat from a distance, so fire away!

Major: We believe they're an improved model specialized for fighting in urban areas.
Headquarters: An improved model... They're adapting to the situation way too quickly. Can they honestly deploy new weapons at this speed?
Major: It's true these Androids boast high mobility in urban settings. That said...getting around on a single wire has to have its risks.
Headquarters: You take any and every risk when you don't fear death. These are stunts no living creature can truly emulate.

(In the online mode, the 5th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship closing in!

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Major: The enemy's new ship models are continuing to rain down Androids. Their numbers are dramatically exceeding our projections.
Headquarters: So, this is happening across the globe. At this rate, the Earth is going to become a world of Androids.
Major: Indeed. We need to think of something.

55 Unstoppable Force vs. Immovable Object

Mission Text

Type 3 Drones have entered the city, but... For whatever reason, they've landed on homes and in the streets. They don't appear to be broken, but this has never happened before...

Accompany the unit and destroy the drones. Even if they aren't moving now, they should activate and fight back if they're jostled. Make sure you're well-equipped.

Mission Start

Leader: The drone landed somewhere around here.
Leader: Find it and destroy it.

(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: There's a drone remaining in the city. We can't let it go unchecked!

Soldier: Drone located!
Soldier: Type 3 Drones!
Leader: No, something's not right!

(Battle begins)
Soldier: It's starting to move!
Leader: Take down that drone!

Major: That's an enhanced Type 3, a high-grade version. It's got a high-power laser and reinforced armor. Infantry may have trouble taking it down.
Headquarters: So what do we do?
Major: We don't have many records of taking one down. However, if this model shares specs with the Type 3, then the orb in the center is its weak point. Aim for that central orb.
Headquarters: Aim for the orb in the center. It barely has any shielding. That should shut it down.

(Each soldier takes damage)
Leader: Hng! It took out my armor in an instant!

Soldier: It can pierce our armor with a single attack?

Soldier: Dear God! It's too powerful!

(Leader takes more damage)
Leader: Guaaah!

(Damage to the High-Grade Type 3 Drone)
Soldier: We're hitting it, but nothing's happening. It's got thick plating!

Leader: The center! Aim for the orb in the center!

Headquarters: What terrifying power...
Major: Though few in number, there are high-grade drones being made.
Headquarters: Similar to the red-colored drones based on the Type 1.
Major: But high performance means production and operational costs are also high. I suspect the High-Grade Type 3 requires time to charge before using any advanced functions.

(Destroy the High-Grade Type 3 Drone)
Leader: We did it! We shot it down!
Leader: Take them down! All of them!

(Losses to allies and enemies)
Headquarters: Nothing's working. The drone is too strong.
Major: We've got no other anti-air cannons available.
Major: There are no nearby units with effective equipment against it, either.

Major: There's someone we must protect at all costs. It's not the best plan, but I've requested backup from a certain unit.

(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Leader(F): Guardsmen here. Who are we to protect?
Leader(F): We don't have the assault equipment to take down a drone. Our primary directive is to protect.
Major: They're the Guardsmen. A unit of Fencers who specialize in defense.
Headquarters: Are you suggesting we fight with shields?
Major: It won't be an easy mission, but there's someone we can't afford to lose.
Headquarters: This is a dangerous mission.
Leader(F): Not a problem. Our enemies are machines. We have the means to deal with them.

(Join the Fencer team)
Leader(F): We've been ordered to keep you safe. Don't worry, we're pros.

Leader(F): These shields are more than just tools! They're imbued with the spirit of humanity's technology!

Leader(F): We'll be the decoys. Shoot while you can!

Leader(F): Take them down before they melt our shields!

(Each soldier takes damage)
Soldier(F): Defend!

Soldier(F): Block it!

Soldier(F): Activate shields!

(Each soldier takes more damage)
Soldier(F): I won't last much longer.

Soldier(F): My armor?!

Soldier(F): Shield compromised!

(Each soldier goes down and revives for the 1st time)
Leader(F): Rebooting powered exoskeleton.
Soldier(F): Reboot complete!

Soldier(F): Reboot complete. Ready to go.

Soldier(F): Don't worry. We'll get back on our feet. No matter how bad the situation gets.

Leader(F): They make even the dead fight. As Skeletons.

(Each soldier goes down and revives for the 2nd time)
Soldier(F): That's it for warm-ups.

Leader(F): Administer meds.
Soldier(F): I'm not in pain. I can still fight.

Leader(F): Wake up.
Soldier(F): It's been a minute since I last woke up on a battlefield.

Leader(F): The curse of the Skeleton is that it won't let us die.

(Destroy the High-Grade Type 3 Drone)
Maj's Subordinate: Drone down.

(Destroy the High-Grade Type 3 Drone)
Maj's Subordinate: Another drone bites the dust.

(Destroy the High-Grade Type 3 Drone)
Maj's Subordinate: So this is a High-Grade Type 3...

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Maj's Subordinate: Destroy all drones.
Headquarters: We did it.
Major: Transferring data to our allies around the world. This intel is sure to save more lives.

56 Dropping Anchor

Mission Text

Teleportation Ships are gathering by the shore. The enemy ships have stopped at low altitude. It's almost like they're resting. The shore is turning into an enemy harbor, with seven ships already confirmed. Barely any escort weapons have been spotted, considering the number of enemy ships. This looks like the perfect opportunity for a surprise attack. Infantry should be able to approach the enemy without being spotted. Go with a small unit, you don't want to attract their attention. Charge under the enemy ships and take them down. Additional units will be sent after your first attack succeeds. The plan is to take every one of these enemy ships down.

Mission Text

The teleportation ships are gathering along the shore. The ships stay low and still as if they are resting. So far, seven of them are spotted. The shore has become the enemy harbor. Compared with the number of enemy ships, there are hardely any defensive weapons, so it is perfect for assault. The infantry should be able to draw close without being noticed.
To avoid alerting the enemy, we'll form the attack team with minimum people. They'll rush right below the enemy ships and shoot them down. If the attacks are successfully performed, the follow-up forces will move in. Make sure to destroy all enemy ships.

Mission Start

Leader: We managed to approach the enemy.
Headquarters: Well done.
Leader: Their number is shocking, and they didn't even pay attention to us.
Headquarters: Good. Attack those Teleportation Ships. Take down as many as possible.
Leader: Copy that.
Leader: Charge!
Leader: Get under the enemy ships!
Leader: It's dangerous if you aren't close enough! Just get right under that thing!
Headquarters: Attack the enemy camp.
Major: They must have gathered here for strategic reasons. If our operation succeeds, we might be able to thwart their plan.
Soldier: We stopped them from multiplying, but nothing has changed.

(Destroy the Teleportation Ship)
Leader: Target down!
Headquarters: Great work. The enemy didn't know what hit'em. Let's get to the next target.

Headquarters: Destroy the Teleportation Ship.

Soldier: What the hell are they trying to do?
Soldier: Is raising monsters their purpose?

(The nth wave of allies appears)
Headquarters: Fencers, join the strike team.

(Join the Fencer team)
Leader(F): Such a small strike team... should be a surprise to the aliens.

(The nth wave of allies appears)
Headquarters: Wing Divers, join the strike team.

(Join the Wing Diver team)
Leader(W): If we can wipe out all enemy ships, that should impact the aliens.

(Destroy the Teleportation Ship)
Headquarters: Very well done.
Headquarters: Our opponents are confused. Keep on going.
Major: According to the reports from the Air Force, enemy's mobile base seems to be moving towards this area.
Headquarters: The mobile base is coming towards us!?

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Headquarters: The enemy mobile base is coming. Watch out for mortar strike.
Soldier: Look! A Primer mobile base!
Soldier: It's walking! That base is walking!

Headquarters: It's too difficult to destroy the mobile base. Take down the Teleportation Ships first.
Major: The enemy is gearing up for a large-scale airborne operation, dropping off aliens worldwide. They might launch some larger attacks in the future. Now we're at the crossroad. This war might be coming to a conclusion soon.
Headquarters: The enemy has sent out their main forces already.

Soldier: It's a Kruul!
Soldier: Drones are coming out of the Fortress!
Headquarters: Eliminate all enemies except the mobile base.
Maj's Subordinate: The Kruul has bomb-launching equipment. Bombs on the ground will explode. Please be careful.
Headquarters: Do not attack the mobile base.

(The Outpost Base resumes moving)
Headquarters: As long as that mobile base is active, the aliens will have total control over the ground. We must destroy it.

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Major: This is a record-breaking victory. I'd never expect us to defeat the enemy ships with such a few people.

57 The One-Eyed Giant

Mission Text

An Android unit has invaded and fully taken over the city. Its people are in danger. Any teams available for combat, head to the indicated location at once.

Mission Start

Sgt's Subordinate A: This is all we could scrounge up?
Sergeant: Doesn't look like we can hope for any help. We're doing this on our own.
Sgt's Subordinate B: We're gonna get ourselves killed!
Leader(W): Just look at the town. It's been completely taken over by enemies.
Sergeant: They haven't noticed us yet. We'll take them down one at a time.
Sgt's Subordinate B: Is it really gonna work out that well?
Sergeant: If we give them time, they'll even start using this place as a base for invasion.
Sergeant: We have to do this now. We're retaking the town.
Leader(W): Fine, then. I'm in.

(Join the Sergeant's Team)
Sergeant: We'll destroy them one at a time.

(Join the Wing Diver team)
Leader(W): Look at this hellscape. We have to act.

Major: I've got bad news.
Major: It's possible that a Giant Android is in this area.
Headquarters: What?
Major: Androids even bigger than Large Androids. Infantry weapons can barely scratch their thick armor.
Headquarters: Androids that are practically heavy tanks, huh? The team's in danger.

(Engage the Cyclops)
Sgt's Subordinate A: What the hell is that Android?!
Sgt's Subordinate B: It's a Giant Android! It's huge!
Sgt's Subordinate C: I don't think we can take this thing down! What do we do?!
Leader(W): This is bad. Our weapons won't be able to destroy that Android.

(Damage to the Cyclops)
Maj's Subordinate: The Giant Android appears to have been damaged.
Sgt's Subordinate B: They really did it!
Sgt's Subordinate A: Look! The round part at its front is its weak spot!
Sgt's Subordinate B: It's like an eye! So we just gotta shoot that?!
Sgt's Subordinate C: We've figured out its weakness!
Sergeant: If we know its weakness, we stand a chance of winning! Aim for its eye!

(Destroy the Cyclops)
Maj's Subordinate: Giant Android successfully destroyed.
Headquarters: We did it.

(Damage to another Cyclops)
Maj's Subordinate: It seems like the round part in front really is its weak point.
Headquarters: That eye-like part is its weakness. Aim for its eye.
Sergeant: Aim for the eye!

(Destroy the Cyclops)
Maj's Subordinate: Giant Android has been destroyed.

(Destroy the Cyclops)
Headquarters: Good, we've destroyed the Giant Android.

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Major: We now know the Giant Android's weakness. Now that's valuable information. It isn't much, but this should help our situation.
Major: We'll now be calling the Giant Androids by the name Cyclops. A one-eyed beast. Now everyone will know that its eye is its weakness.

58 Investigate the Massive Cave: Top Floor

Mission Text

We've now confirmed that the giant cave discovered three months ago is a monster nest. We've also received reports of multiple enemy Android sightings in the area. We believe the Primer are interfering with the nesting hole in order to carry out some sort of plan. We need to gather information. Form an investigatory team at once. We'll be conducting a mission to infiltrate this den.

Mission Start

Headquarters: Begin your investigation. Be careful.
Maj's Subordinate: Rendezvous with your team.

(Late to join)
Sergeant: You're late. Over here.

(Join the Sergeant's Team)
Sergeant: It's good to know you're here. Let's go.
Sgt's Subordinate B: Hey there, Chief. Looks like they're giving the both of us one awful job after the next.
Sgt's Subordinate A: That just shows how much they trust us.
Sgt's Subordinate C: I could have nine lives and it still wouldn't be enough.

(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: I just hope you're as good as they say.

(Join both teams)
Leader: Don't think of this as an investigation! We're eliminating these monsters and controlling the cave!

(Approach the enemies)
Soldier: Monsters detected!
Headquarters: Gamma Invaders. Be careful, these are hard to handle.

(Destroy enemies in the front group)
Sgt's Subordinate C: You'd better not. There's no way you could go in this hole and make it back safe.
Sgt's Subordinate B: I agree. We're gonna die in there.
Sergeant: We have our guns. It's easy to fight in a long, thin path if anything.
Leader: Turn around and go home if you're scared. We'll be fine on our own.
Leader: We're wiping this area clean of monsters.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Sergeant: So this is a Gamma nest, huh?
Leader: We're going to wipe everything out. This cave is gonna be a safe area.

(Approach the enemies)
Sergeant: Gammas! Stay alert!
Leader: Shoot the monsters!

(Destroy enemies in the front group)
Headquarters: It's too dangerous to go deeper with Gammas still around. Eliminate all monsters in the area.

(Approach enemies in the rear group)
Sgt's Subordinate C: Monsters!
Leader: Gamma Invaders! Take 'em out!

(Eliminate the enemies)
Headquarters: Nicely done.
Leader: There are more than I thought in here. This cave's dangerous.

(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: What's that sound?
Sergeant: Something's coming.
Sgt's Subordinate A: The monsters are getting closer.
Maj's Subordinate: Tremors detected. It's likely a pack of Gammas.
Headquarters: Gammas coming. Get ready.
Soldier: They're here!
Sergeant: They're here! Fire!

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Sergeant: Monster extermination complete.
Headquarters: First phase complete. Top floor under control. We'll be going to the center floor after taking a break.
Sergeant: Roger that.
Sergeant: This is just a monster nest. So far, at least.

59 Investigate the Massive Cave: Middle Floor

Mission Text

Where did the captain go? How could they get lost in a place like this? What a pain.

We can't abandon them, though. Find them.

Mission Start

Soldier: I don't see the captain's group.
Soldier: Maybe they're dead already.
Leader: Be aware of your surroundings!
Leader: I've got a bad feeling about this.

(The 1st wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Monsters!!!
Soldier: They're coming from this way too!
Soldier: And from over there!
Leader: Seems like they don't want to let us through! There really is something here!
Soldier: We won't be able to push through! They'll wipe us out!
Headquarters: An ambush, huh? They want to pull us into their nest and wipe us all out.
Headquarters: Dammit! Reinforcements won't make it in time. You'll have to keep yourselves safe.

(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: This is bad, we've been trapped!

(Androids approaching)
Soldier: Androids! Androids are coming!
Leader: Androids encountered!
Soldier: They're attacking us at the worst possible time!
Headquarters: I knew it. Androids. So they were here on the center floor.

Headquarters: An underground Android army, huh? There has to be something here.
Major: I think it's safe to assume they're carrying out some sort of plan.
Headquarters: A secret Primer plan, huh?
Major: If that's the case, we got lucky finding this place.
Headquarters: Maybe, but they're ready for us. We're in their stronghold. They're gonna put up a tough fight.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Androids! They're back!
Soldier: They want to defend this place at any cost!

(Android Grenadiers approaching)
Soldier: Grenadiers!
Headquarters: They've got grenades equipped. Destroy the yellow orbs before they get close.

Soldier: Just look at these defenses! There's got to be something important in here!
Soldier: Are you kidding me?! I'm not taking another step further!

(Annihilate all the enemies)
Leader: Androids annihilated.
Headquarters: Second phase complete. We're passing through the center floor and infiltrating the bottom.
Leader: But what about the captain...?
Headquarters: Headed to the bottom floor. No need to worry.
Leader: Dammit! Does he think he can beat us there?!

60 Investigate the Massive Cave: Bottom Floor

Mission Text

We're heading to the bottom floor.

We took care of the monsters in the middle floor. The bottom should be an empty husk by now. Have some fun spelunking.

Mission Start
Leader: Hurry up! We're getting there first!
Leader: Don't let the captain beat us there!

Leader: Captain?!
Sergeant: Looks like you're safe and sound. C'mon, the route's this way.
Sgt's Subordinate A: I'm so glad you're okay.
Sgt's Subordinate B: It's because Chief's with us.
Sgt's Subordinate C: This is a relief for us too.

(Join the Sergeant's Team)
Sergeant: I looked into other routes while I was waiting. This is it.

(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: The rumors were true. I'll admit it, you're a hero.

Sergeant: I don't sense any enemies.
Leader: We destroyed them all in the middle floor. It's got to be an empty husk down here.
Sergeant: Huh, so I guess they were camped out on the middle floor.

Sergeant: It's too quiet. Be on the lookout for traps.
Sergeant: We need to be careful for traps at times like this.

(Approach the enemies)
Soldier: It's such a big space.
Soldier: There's water down here?

Soldier: Never thought I'd see this underground.
Leader: Groundwater, huh?
Leader: No, it smells slightly of salt. Is it connected to the sea?

(Battle begins)
Leader: Shoot the monsters!

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Sgt's Subordinate A: It's a trap!
Sgt's Subordinate B: We've jumped into a trap!
Sgt's Subordinate C: Monsters are coming!
Sergeant: A Teleportation Device! Destroy the Teleportation Device!

Sergeant: There's no end to these monsters so long as there's a teleporter here!

(Eliminate the enemies)
Sgt's Subordinate A: That was a close one.
Leader: Dammit! What a cowardly move.
Sergeant: I imagine there are traps ahead too. Let's advance with caution.

(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Sgt's Subordinate A: A trap using a Teleportation Device, huh? They're starting to fight in more cunning ways.

(Approach the enemies)
Sgt's Subordinate B: Water again.
Sgt's Subordinate C: A groundwater vein?

Soldier: It's a Teleportation Device!

(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
Sgt's Subordinate A: This is bad!
Sgt's Subordinate B: It's a trap!

Leader: Dammit! Sly bastards!

(The 5th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: A trap's been activated!

(The 6th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: It's a trap!

(The 7th wave of enemies appears)
Sgt's Subordinate C: Again! Another trap's been activated!

(Eliminate the enemies)
Sgt's Subordinate B: The damned Primers are hiding some pretty serious treasure.
Sgt's Subordinate C: Nothing but traps down here. I thought they pulled back from here.

(The 8th wave of enemies appears)
Leader: Crap! This place is full of traps!

(The 9th wave of enemies appears)
Leader: Hell no! Enough already!

(Eliminate the enemies)
Sergeant: What an elaborate defense. On the other hand, it's like they're showing us the way. Let's go.

(The 10th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: What do you even think we're gonna find in a place like this?
Soldier: Just gonna be monsters.
Soldier: Maybe some mole-beast.
Leader: A giant mole, huh? I bet it'd be pretty cute.

Headquarters: I think we're near the deepest area. Don't let your guard down.
Maj's Subordinate: We're monitoring your feed from here. This mission is a success if you can figure out what's down there.

Sgt's Subordinate A: What do you think is here?
Sgt's Subordinate B: What do I think they're hiding? Treasure, of course.
Sgt's Subordinate C: I'm just praying it's not some awful weapon.
Sgt's Subordinate B: I'm telling you, it's gotta be treasure. That's why they're hiding it. But it's gonna be all mine.

(Approach the deepest area)
Soldier: Water yet again.
Soldier: A underground lake.
Leader: So they were hiding this underground lake? What's going on here?

Leader: There's something in the darkness! And it's big!
Soldier: What the hell is that?!
Sergeant: Unidentified lifeform discovered.
Headquarters: It's big. Monster-level big.
Maj's Subordinate: We need better footage. Please get closer.
Headquarters: It's too dangerous. There's no telling what could happen if this thing goes berserk underground. Get some distance and be careful.
Sgt's Subordinate B: This is bad! It's about to fly!
Sgt's Subordinate A: Unidentified lifeform is ascending.
Headquarters: Is it trying to get to the surface?!

Sgt's Subordinate B: It's about to fly off.
Sergeant: This is bad. Who knows what'll happen if that thing gets out.
Headquarters: This creature is capable of flight. It'll be hard to track it if it gets out.
Major: Urgent response required. Attack before we lose sight of it.
