91 The Swarm Surfaces
Mission Text
One monster after the next is appearing from the sea. They seem to be moving inland after surfacing, but it's hard to figure out exactly what's happening... There's a thick fog around the entire area.
Please head to the nearby town.
Mission Start
Headquarters: This fog is keeping visibility low. Stay alert.
Leader: Let's go! And don't hesitate.
Headquarters: They're definitely in the city. Stay sharp.
Soldier: There are Dark Monsters in this fog. The fairy tales have come true.
(Battle with Scylla begins)
Soldier: There's one! A merman!
Leader: Mermen, fishmen, whatever they are... Let's make them regret ever coming ashore!
(Destroy Scylla and finish the battle)
Soldier: Hey! Is it over?
Leader: No way that was the last one. Don't let your guard down.
Soldier: The Mermen have infiltrated this far inland.
Soldier: So they can live on land and in water? That's horrifying.
Soldier: Merman spotted.
Soldier: Merman! There's more!
Soldier: Fighting them is pointless. No matter how many we kill, they just keep coming ashore.
Soldier: It's over. We're going to get eaten.
Leader: Is the EDF just a bunch of cowards? Hell no! We don't get eaten! We do the eating!
Soldier: It's coming at us!
Soldier: It's sliding over!
Soldier: It's swimming on land!
Soldier: It's fast! It's going to slam us!
(Battle with the Excavator begins)
Soldier: Excavators!
(Losses to allies and Scyllas)
Headquarters: We've gathered a regiment of reinforcements. Hold out until we get there.
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Leader: Team three, commence battle.
Leader: It's seriously a merman?!
(The 3rd wave of allies appears)
Leader: Team four, commence battle.
Leader: There are actually creatures like this in the deep sea?!
(Destroy some enemies)
Major: We have confirmed that the enemy's evolved ship was dropping sea creatures. We believe they did this to infect the seas and minimize the area where humans can safely operate.
Headquarters: We certainly didn't see this one coming.
Major: Our submarine fleets and carriers have played an important role in our operations thus far, but this will limit their usefulness going forward.
Headquarters: We believed that these Primers from outer space would be unprepared for underwater operations. We underestimated them.
Major: Frequent sightings of sea creatures are being reported from all regions. The largest number of reports is from the West Coast. The sea creatures may have a base somewhere in the North Pacific.
Headquarters: If they're multiplying in the ocean, they could reach unmanageable numbers. Humanity would lose the oceans.
(Annihilate all the enemies)
Major: We will call these sea creatures Scylla from now on.
Headquarters: The name of a mythical beast, huh? Don't give those things such an exaggerated title. It'll only scare the soldiers.

92 Observe the Fleet
Mission Text
The new enemy fleet has stopped its movements above the city. We believe they're preparing for an attack. Head to where they are and rendezvous with the recon team. Continue observing the enemy ships until the attack unit arrives.
Mission Start
Leader: Approach was a success. We're right under them!
Soldier: Why are the evolved ships shaped like that?
Soldier: I can't tell the front from the back.
Soldier: They released an anchor!
Soldier: It's an evolved Teleportation Anchor! The teleporter is activating!
Leader: Enemies will be sent through! We can't wait for our main forces any longer!
Leader: Destroy the anchor!
Leader: Get close to the anchor's base! Attack the tip from directly below it!
Leader: Eliminate any monster that stands in your way!
Headquarters: The glowing bit at the top of the anchor is its weak spot.
Maj's Subordinate: The top is protected by an umbrella-shaped shield. Shoot it from directly underneath.
(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: It's an evolved Anchor. You up for the job?
(Destroy the Tail Anchor)
Leader: Drop as many as you like! You drop one, we destroy one!
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy ship dropping another anchor.
Soldier: Another anchor coming down!
Soldier: Dammit. Where is our main force?!
Soldier: We can't handle this all by ourselves!
Leader: Yes, we can! And we must!
Leader: So long as that teleportation device is intact, this area is basically their territory! Stop it!
Major: We've got a warning message from the Siren Surveillance Corps. Confirming now.
(Destroy the Tail Anchor)
Leader: You see that? It's our recon team!
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: The enemy ship dropped an anchor!
Leader: The next wave is here! Snap 'em in half!
Headquarters: There are so many enemy ships, yet they only drop one anchor at a time.
Headquarters: How odd. Why are they being so cautious?
Maj's Subordinate: This is an emergency. The Siren is expected to pass through your area.
Headquarters: Excuse me?!
Headquarters: So the enemy is being so passive due to the Siren.
(Destroy the Tail Anchor)
Soldier: Enemy ships on the move. They appear to be leaving.
Leader: They ran away scared.
Soldier: Heh! We chased them off.
(The 4th wave of enemy appears)
Major: The Siren has entered the operation area.
(The 5th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: The enemy ship dropped an anchor!
Headquarters: We can't just leave the anchor. But we don't have enough manpower to fight the Siren, either. Where is the main force?
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Maj's Subordinate: They're here.
Headquarters: Good. Engage.
Soldier: Commence attack.
Soldier: The Siren is running amok. Our intel didn't say anything about this.
Soldier: It doesn't matter. Just reduce it to ashes.
Soldier: For a recon team, you sure can fight.
Soldier: You've shown some real guts today.
Soldier: You're all welcome to join my squad any day.
Headquarters: Attack the Siren.
(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: You again? I'll be sure to headhunt you later.
(Join the Fencer team)
Leader(F): Join my squad. I need soldiers like you.
(The 6th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: An anchor dropped!
Headquarters: They're afraid their ships will be damaged by the Siren's rampage. They'll drop anchors and leave.
(The 7th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: They released an anchor.
Soldier: All enemy ships have withdrawn.
Headquarters: They left in a hurry. I guess even Primers can't control the Siren.
(Sufficient damage on Siren)
Soldier: The Siren is running.
Headquarters: No need to chase it. Just let it go.
Headquarters: The storm has passed. The Siren appeared and interfered with the enemy's operations. Call it a lucky break.
Headquarters: Destroy the Teleportation Anchor.
(Destroy all the Tail Anchors)
Headquarters: Eliminate all enemies.
(Annihilate all the enemies)
Headquarters: The Siren still had plenty of strength left over. Our forces are no match for it.
Major: But even the Siren isn't immortal.
Headquarters: What?
Major: We have visual confirmation of it sleeping for over 24 hours. Usually after it sustains injuries.
Headquarters: That means it must sleep to heal its wounds.
Major: That's right. The Siren sleeps for up to several days. It may not always be a deep slumber, but according to our data, the longest it's slept is 46 hours.
Headquarters: So our attacks were effective. That gives us a means to fight it.
Major: If we time it right, we could attack it while it's sleeping.

Mission Text
Siren has stopped moving. We believe it's in a state of dormancy. This is our chance to execute our plan to destroy the Siren.
Explosives team has made their approach and will be placing high-pressure evaporation charges. Attack team, rid the area of any hostiles to make sure that the explosives team stays safe.
Mission Start
Soldier: It really isn't moving.
Headquarters: Demo team, approach the Siren. Attack team, eliminate the surrounding enemies and ensure the demo team's safety.
Soldier: Look! Scylla! There are Scylla all around.
Soldier: The Scylla are gathering around the Siren. They must be here to protect it.
Headquarters: Finish off the Scylla. They'll only get in our way.
Leader(F): We should be able to approach under the cover of this mist. Get close and finish the job.
Soldier: Won't the Siren wake up if it hears gunfire?
Leader: No. The Siren will continue its slumber to heal. Don't worry about waking it and eliminate the Scylla.
Headquarters: Eliminate any nearby enemy. The demolition team will take care of the big one.
Headquarters: The Siren will not regain consciousness until its wounds are healed. So go ahead. Get trigger happy.
Major: It seems the Siren and Scylla have a symbiotic relationship. Our recent surveys suggest the Scylla increase in number when the Siren sleeps.
Headquarters: That would explain it.
Major: As it is defenseless while sleeping, the Siren probably calls for the Scylla. There are similar symbioses within Earth's ecosystem.
Headquarters: So it is relying on another lifeform for protection.
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Enemy unit incoming!
Soldier: Androids!
Soldier: Drones coming this way!
Headquarters: Enemy unit incoming. Forget the Siren and engage them.
Headquarters: Are they here to protect the Siren?
Major: It appears the Primers are aware of the Siren's weakness. They know it's defenseless.
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Headquarters: Wing Diver, engage the enemy unit.
Leader(W): Roger that. We'll clean out everything around the Siren.
Headquarters: Demo team, make your approach. Finish off any nearby enemies.
Headquarters: One last push. Nearby enemies are almost all taken care of.
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Monsters incoming!
Soldier: Tadpoles incoming!
Headquarters: Demo team, plant the explosives.
Soldier: The Siren is stirring!
Soldier: Oh, shit. It's awake?
Headquarters: Damn it. Did we run out of time?
Headquarters: The Siren's awake. Get away from it at once.
(Siren wakes up)
Soldier: Oh no. It's up!
Headquarters: Demo team, full retreat.
Headquarters: It would be difficult to defeat the Siren with our current forces. Leave it alone, but eliminate any other enemies.
(Siren retreats)
Maj's Subordinate: The Siren is on the move.
Major: The Siren has escaped.
Headquarters: It got away, huh?
Headquarters: Do not pursue the Siren. The objective is now to eliminate enemies in the area.
Headquarters: Clean up the enemy unit. Make them pay for interfering with our operation.
(Annihilate all the enemies)
Headquarters: It escaped this time, but the thing's not invincible. It has to rest to heal its wounds. Now that we know that, we just have to wait for the perfect opportunity.

The enemy Android army is invading town. These Androids are protected by a drone unit.
We've sent tanks in, but they won't make it in time. The civilians have yet to be fully evacuated, and we'll suffer major casualties if we don't act. Any nearby units, head to their location at once. Hold the Androids back until the tank team arrives.
Mission Start
Soldier: Enemies approaching!
Blacker Crew: Tank leader here. We're raring to go.
Leader: We're engaged in battle, but losing the fight!
Headquarters: The tanks have arrived. Fall back to their position.
Leader: Back up! Back up!
Leader(W): Come back!
Headquarters: Fall back and draw the enemy within our tanks' range.
Blacker Crew: Oh, yeah! There they are!
Blacker Crew: Howitzer, aim! Fire!
Blacker Crew: Fire! Fire!
Blacker Crew: Leave the close-range enemies to the infantry!
Blacker Crew: You'd better protect the tanks!
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: A second wave of enemies is closing in!
Soldier: Grenadiers! They've got grenades on them!
Soldier: Grenadiers approaching!
Headquarters: They're trying to blow up our tanks. Infantry, engage the grenadiers and make sure they don't get close.
Leader: Keep the grenadiers away!
Leader: Protect our tanks!
Blacker Crew: Damn it, they counter us perfectly!
Blacker Crew: They know how to use their weapons! They won't make it easy for us!
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: It's a third wave of enemies!
Soldier: Androids! High mobility types!
Blacker Crew: They're quick! I can't get a lock on them!
Headquarters: Tanks won't be fast enough to handle enemies that fast. Take them out with rifles.
(Destroy some enemies)
Professor: Major? I'd like to propose an operation. I've sent you the files just now.
Major: That's outside of your authority. No outside interference is allowed when it comes to the Strategic Intelligence Division.
Professor: Not only does the enemy know our every strategy, they're working to turn the tables on us. We need to turn them right back around.
Major: These are groundless delusions.
Professor: I know how the enemy will advance. I've entered everything I've been able to remember. Just look at the data I sent you.
Major: You seem tired. You need to get some rest.

Mission Text
A new tactic has been proposed. The Strategic Information Division has predicted the enemy fleet's course, and we'll wait along it to ambush them.
According to these predictions, they'll be flying low over the mountains in order to evade radar detection. It seems they're attempting to invade the city.
Attack unit, hide yourselves at the designated point and wait for an opportunity to attack.
...I'm not sure why we've been able to predict the enemy's movements, but if the Strategic Intelligence Division is right, they'll have the ability to turn this situation around. We pray for your success.
Mission Start
Soldier: Will the enemy really come here?
Soldier: They're flying low and headed toward the metro area. It's amazing that you were able to figure that out.
Leader: Be quiet.
(The 1st wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Hey. They really came. Look at the radar.
Soldier: The intelligence division did well.
Leader: Get ready for an attack.
Commanding Officer: Looks like the intelligence division guessed right. Prepare for battle.
Leader: Looks like they've detected us. Monsters incoming!
Leader: Blast those monsters!
Leader: We can't let them into the metro area. Stop them in their tracks!
Leader: Attack the Teleportation Ships! Aim for the open hatches!
Leader: The Teleportation Ships are the target! Shoot them down!
Commanding Officer: Only some of the Teleportation Ships are dropping monsters. The enemy must want to reserve some of their forces.
(Destroy the Teleportation Ship)
Soldier: We really did it!
Soldier: Teleportation Ship down!
(If the Player destroys the Teleportation Ship quikly)
Commanding Officer: The enemy means to attack the metro area. That's why they're holding some of their forces in reserve. We can't let that happen. Annihilate them.
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Commanding Officer: The enemy has dropped monsters. Stay alert.
Leader: Here they come! Stay focused!
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Commanding Officer: Fencer Team, advance and draw the monster out.
Soldier(F): Roger that. Attack!
Soldier(F): Infantry, we'll be your shield.
(Join the Fencer team)
Leader(F): Call in all teams. We're executing the plan.
(Destroy the Teleportation Ship)
Soldier: To shoot one down, you have to fly right under the ship where monsters are waiting. It takes guts.
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: All Teleportation Ships have begun attacking!
Commanding Officer: All Teleportation Ships are active. Shoot them down.
Soldier: There's too many!
Soldier: This is bad!
Leader: If this many get into the metro area, it'll be a catastrophe! We need to exterminate them here!
(The 3rd wave of allies appears)
Soldier(W): Wing Divers here. Commencing battle.
Soldier(W): Good job holding out. We're here to help.
(Join the Wing Diver team)
Leader(W): Looks like you're having fun. I'll join you.
(The 4th wave of allies appears)
Leader: You did it again? I don't know if you're brave or just foolish. Well, you'll need backup.
(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: Looks like you're working hard. I'll give you a hand.
(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: The Teleportation Ships are dropping monsters. Tons of them.
(Destroy the Teleportation Ships)
Commanding Officer: One ship left. Take it down.
Commanding Officer: The Teleportation Ships were going to attack the metro area. If we hadn't been alerted, we would have faced unimaginable losses.
Recruiter: Everyone that's able should join us, we need a lot of fighters to protect the planet's crust.
Recruiter: Let's fight together as allies. Your orders will be sent real soon!
Professor I advised them to work on building up their forces as much as possible before the situation gets worse.
(Annihilate all the enemies)
Maj's Subordinate: We won... This victory is a major one.
Commanding Officer: Operation success. We prevented an attack and saved countless lives. You did well.

96 Operation Bird-Buster
Mission Text
Siren has stopped above the city and seems to have entered another state of dormancy.
Now that this monstrous bird has fallen asleep, it's our chance to execute the plan. Multiple EMCs will be sent in, and we'll destroy Siren with a coordinated attack.
Up in orbit, the Buster is preparing to fire. There can't possibly be any living creature able to stand up to a direct hit from our high-output laser cannon.
Mission Start
EMC Crew: EMC getting into position.
EMC Crew: Don't stop. Keep moving.
EMC Crew: EMC nearing effective range.
Soldier: They're right there. Any closer and it'd put us in harm's way.
EMC Crew: It just seems that way because they're so big. But they're still quite far away.
Soldier: Wow. They are too damn big.
Headquarters: The Siren enters slumber when it loses strength. EMC can use their beams to put it to bed for a long time.
Headquarters: Hold on.
Headquarters: Intelligence. The head of Advanced Technologies Lab requests a halt to the operation.
Major: Confirming request.
Maj's Subordinate: "You-know-who," huh?
Major: Continue the operation.
Headquarters: Very well.
Headquarters: The EMC's simultaneous attacks will stop the Siren in its tracks. Get ready!
Leader(F): Get ready!
Leader(F): Fire!
Satellite Controller: Modifying Buster for maximum output. Locking on.
Satellite Controller: All of its energy will be released at once. We only have one shot at this, so it has to hit. Make sure the target stays still.
Soldier: We're at our limit. I'm requesting that Buster shot.
Satellite Controller: No, we cannot fire until the Siren has stopped moving. You need to stop it first.
(Sufficient damage on Siren)
Soldier: Mist! There's mist!
Soldier: What is this fog?! What's going on?
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: The mist is rolling in.
Soldier: Scylla! Scylla sighted!
Soldier: Scylla are gathering here.
Soldier(W): So they came as expected. We'll make them sorry.
Headquarters: We expected Scylla to show up. Eliminate them.
Soldier: We're exhausted. Please, take the shot.
Satellite Controller: We've only got one chance at this. Stop its movement.
Satellite Controller: We cannot hit a moving target. Stop its movement.
Soldier: Ball sacks!
Headquarters: Its strength is weakening. Continue assault operations.
Headquarters: Its strength has nearly run out. Just a bit more.
Headquarters: Continue exterminating those Scylla.
(Destroy the 2nd wave enemies and Sufficient damage on Siren)
Soldier: We really did it!
Leader: Objective clear. We've stopped the Siren's activity.
Soldier: The Siren has halted all activity.
Headquarters: It's fallen over, but that thing's far from dead. We need that finishing blow.
Satellite Controller: Surface units. We owe you a great debt for your service.
Satellite Controller: Increasing output to critical.
Satellite Controller: Firing Buster shot.
(The Buster fire!)
Satellite Controller: Direct hit confirmed.
Soldier: The target is up in flames! We got it!
Soldier: Phew, that's hot! The Buster's heat is scorching!
Soldier: What intense heat. It's like we're in an actual fire.
(Siren transforms to Glaukos)
Satellite Controller: The target is still moving. How is this possible?
Satellite Controller: Surface unit, what's going on down there?
Soldier: Look! It's not dead! It's burning but still alive!
Soldier: This heat isn't from the Buster, it's coming from the Siren itself.
Satellite Controller: The heat source is moving. Surface unit, what's happening? Is everything alright?
Maj's Subordinate: The surrounding temperature is rising. It must be the Siren's body temperature.
Maj's Subordinate: The Siren's skin is really hot. How can it live like this?
Headquarters: A lifeform with a burning body. A scene straight out of hell.
Headquarters: Recommence attack operations.
Headquarters: That thing is a threat to humanity. We have to extinguish that flame.
Headquarters: M-monster...
Maj's Subordinate: The Siren is continually releasing its energy. If this continues...
Major: The lab believes the Siren changed its own body at the brink of death to survive. This puts an overbearing strain on its body, but this is its ultimate strategy for survival.
Headquarters: So it can give up years of its life to escape death? Just how long does this thing have left?
Major: Nobody knows. It could be days. It could be years.
Headquarters: We can't quite calculate its lifespan. And waiting for it to die naturally is not the best course of action for us.
Major: We need more data. Continue assault operations.
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Sgt's Subordinate B: I can't believe what I'm seeing here.
Sgt's Subordinate C: What on Earth is that thing?!
Sgt's Subordinate A: A living, burning organism.
Sgt's Subordinate B: Things are never boring when you're around, Chief.
Sergeant: We need reinforcements! Come on!
Spriggan Leader: Is that our prey? It's much bigger than the reports.
Spriggan Leader: They said it was weakened by the EMC's attack, but it doesn't appear to be.
Spriggan Leader: Providing back up.
(Sufficient damage on Glaukos)
Soldier: It's running!
Maj's Subordinate: The Siren has begun moving.
Headquarters: That means it has suffered a wound grave enough to warrant this last-ditch behavior.
Headquarters: That thing just changed its appearance. It must need time to rest--as do we. We should leave the chase to the air force.
Maj's Subordinate: We already have fighter planes tracking the Siren.
Headquarters: Great. Then let's fall back.
Headquarters: Erginus and Archelus are terrifying creatures, but their sphere of activity is limited. They do not threaten the entire Earth. However, the Siren is quick, burning everything in its path. It is a global menace.
Major: We should change its name from Siren to Glaukos. It is the highest level threat on this planet.

(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: It's suicide to fight in such an open space.
Soldier: There's nowhere to hide. We'll get riddled with bullets.
Headquarters: Hang in there till the new weapon arrives.
Titan Crew: Titans are impregnable. Infantry, you can just stay behind us.
Headquarters: Infantry, use the heavy tanks as cover.
Titan Crew: Titans are mobile fortresses that can defend us from the strongest enemies!
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Aliens approaching!
Soldier: This is Scout. There're countless monsters!
Headquarters: We can turn the tide once the railguns arrive. Hold on!
Headquarters: Only a flat and open plain can maximize the railgun’s full capacity. They're doomed the moment they were lured here.
Major: The Glaukos is now changing course. It is heading for this location.
Headquarters: It can't be! That Glaukos must be attracted to the scent of blood.
Headquarters: Perhaps our railgun could take out the Glaukos...
Major: Grim Reaper has been sent to the combat area. Should arrive momentarily.
Headquarters: What!? Aren't they the best of the best?!
(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Soldier: Aliens flanked to the left and right!
Soldier(F): Damn those aliens, always trying to play tricks!

Soldier: They're coming from the left and right!
Headquarters: Monsters approaching. Prepare to engage.
Major: The Glaukos is approaching.
Headquarters: So they're here. How's the railgun looking?
Major: Well, it was intercepted by a drone unit.
Headquarters: Excuse me?!
Major: It was an ambush. As if they knew where the railgun would be going.
(Join the Grim Reaper Team on the left flank)
Grim Reaper Leader: We'll protect you, kiddo.
(Join the Grim Reaper Team on the right flank)
Grim Reaper Vice Leader: But we'll ask for your favor in return someday.
(The 5th wave of enemy appears)
Soldier: This thing is gigantic! And it's airborne!
Soldier: It's completely ablaze. How can it fly while it's on fire?!
(Each Titan is destroyed)
Soldier: Titan incapacitated!
Soldier: Heavy tank sustaining critical damage!
Soldier: Titan destroyed!
Soldier: Heavy tank destroyed!
Headquarters: Damn! That Glaukos is too powerful! We won't defeat it if we're not prepared.

Soldier: Large alien unit!
Headquarters: Just great. Glaukos above and aliens on the ground.
Headquarters: We'll be wiped out at this rate. We'll have to retreat.

Glaukos has been moving across the sea and has now passed the shore. It's possible that Scylla will descend on Glaukos's landing point. The chances are low, but we need to be careful.
A unit will be placed in the coastal area, ready for Scylla to appear. Tanks have already been sent in, and the railgun unit should make a delayed arrival as well. Wait by the shore, and if you spot any Scylla, stop them from making a landing.
Mission Start
Soldier: Scylla incoming!
Soldier: Don't let them land!
Headquarters: Tanks, hurry.
Blacker Crew: Tanks in position!
Blacker Crew: Did we make it in time?
Blacker Crew: Deploy in front of the infantry. Act as their shields!
Blacker Crew: We've got Scylla right in front of us!
Blacker Crew: Fire cannons!
Soldier: Fire! Don't let them touch down!
Soldier: Stay sharp! Mist is covering the area!
Major: Scylla release water from within their bodies to create mist. It's not to hide from stronger foes, but rather used to help them hunt down their prey.
Headquarters: So aiming becomes that much more difficult. They're a natural counter to soldiers with guns.
Major: Use the radar effectively. You should be able to ascertain major locations.
(The 2nd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Scylla approaching from the sea!
Headquarters: Wherever the Glaukos goes, Scylla will follow. What a fearsome creature. It's a flying maritime disaster.
Major: Knowing their ecological relationship helped us predict the appearance of Scylla. If we can tighten our defenses in advance, we can stop them from coming ashore.
Major: The railgun is en route here.
Major: The railgun is about to arrive.
Headquarters: Did it get here in one piece?
(The 3rd wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: Scylla coming ashore!
(The 4th wave of enemies appears)
Soldier: More Scylla incoming!
Soldier: It's a Scylla army!
Soldier: A Scylla army is pushing in!
Soldier: They keep coming no matter how many we take down. Are they multiplying in the sea?
Soldier: Then that means the deep sea is full of Scylla!
Soldier: The sea is a lost cause. Protect the land!
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Railgun Crew: Railgun, engaging.
Headquarters: They're here. Kick those Scylla back where they came from.
Headquarters: The railgun is unscathed. Why is that?
Major: The Primers have predicted our actions with incredible accuracy. But it appears even they have their limits.
Major: If they have some sort of scanning device, then there must be a limit to its effective range.
Major: We have to figure out why and how they are getting all this information on us.

Leader: Demolishing the enemy's teleportation base.
Leader: The enemy is amassing their forces here. If we don't stop the teleportation, things will become truly dire.
Leader: Let's do this!
Soldier: Are we really fighting with these numbers? Are we just suicide corps?
Leader: The enemy has their guard down. We can take them.
Soldier: Did Bravo run away?
Soldier: A tank driver seems to have deserted.
(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: Use the tank.
(The 2nd wave of allies appears)
Leader: This is Bravo. Sorry I'm late.
Leader: Let's go! Don't let our comrades die!
(Join the Ranger team)
Leader: What a fight. Let me help.
(The 3rd wave of allies appears)
Leader(F): Ogre 1 reporting in.
Professor: The Primer are able to freely move throughout time. In that case, they should easily be able to accomplish their goals by either going after humanity during primitive times, or at least by attacking humanity before the EDF is formed. So why are they so fixated on this era? What's the reason?
(Annihilate all the enemies)

100 Attack the Fleet
Mission Text
A fleet of Teleportation Ships has entered the industrial area. They appear to have gone inactive after stopping at a low altitude.
We'll need to take down the fleet before they can commence their attack, but we're currently busy attacking the Kaiju. The majority of units are away from base, and so we aren't able to secure a proper fighting force. That's why we'll need to execute a night raid with only a small number of units. Approach them under cover of darkness, then launch a surprise attack to destroy those Teleportation Ships.

Mission Text
A fleet of teleportation ships has invaded the industrial area. They stay still and low in the sky. They show no signs of activity.
We must shoot them down before they attack. But the operation mysterious monsters is on the go, more than half of the troops are away from the base, so our fighting force is very limited. We will launch a night raid with only a few soldiers.
Use the night as cover to approach and ambush the teleportation ships.

Mission Start
Sergeant: Lights on!
Sgt's Subordinate B: I know it's a night raid, but who says they sleep at night?
Sergeant: Those monsters act slower at night.
Sgt's Subordinate A: It will slightly increase our chances. And slighty is better than nothing.
Headquarters: Launch attack at the Teleportation Ships.
Sergeant: Commence operation!
Sgt's Subordinate A: It's pitch black out here, we can't see anything. Be careful.
Sgt's Subordinate B: Make sure you don't shoot your teammate.
Sgt's Subordinate C: I'll just apologize in advance.
(Battle begins)
Sgt's Subordinate A: There're monsters in the dark!
Sergeant: They are really huge in size. We don't have to worry about shooting at the wrong targets.
Major: I'm sorry. We failed Operation Mysterious Monster.
Headquarters: We have put in our best effort and yet we still failed to defeat it…
Maj's Subordinate: Huh?
Maj's Subordinate: This area is in the path of the Glaukos' course of movement.
Major: The mysterious monster is about to pass this area.
Headquarters: Couldn't you inform us earlier?
Major: Its route changes all the time. It's hard to predict.

Maj's Subordinate: Teleportation Ship successfully destroyed.
(Destroy the ② Teleportation Ship)

(Destroy the ③ Teleportation Ship)

(Destroy two Teleportation Ships)
Maj's Subordinate: The Glaukos.
(The 2nd wave of enemy appears)
Headquarters: Don't let it get past unscathed. Take it down.
Sgt's Subordinate C: Our attacks are ineffective!
Sgt's Subordinate B: We don't have enough fire power.
Sergeant: Damn! If only I had a Blazer in my hand...
Sgt's Subordinate A: A Blazer?
Sergeant: It's a new type of gun. It's for personal use, but it is said to have 15% of an EMC's output.
Sgt's Subordinate B: We'll finish it when we change to that new weapon, but first, we need to stay alive.
Sergeant: We're now working on mass-producing them.
Headquarters: We're unequipped to do any serious damage to the mysterious monster. We should focus on the Teleportation Ships now.
(Glaukos retreats)
Headquarters: Don't get distracted by the mysterious monster. Let's follow our original plan: Eliminate the Teleportation Ships and the monsters.
(Destroy all the Teleportation Ships)
Headquarters: Kill the remaining monsters.
(Annihilate all the enemies)
Headquarters: Is there any way to defeat it?
Major: We're looking for effective methods of attack, but the Advanced Technologies Lab has proposed looking into the use of Chiren Charges.
