ゲームは簡単で収集物が膨大という同工異曲のLEGOシリーズ。チートコードを使用しても実績に影響しないのも相変わらず。達成率100%を目指す過程でほとんど解除される。
実績に直接関わるわけではないが、Red Brickについて非常にまぎらわしいバグがある（後述）。
ちなみに、Years 5-7と銘打っておきながらYears 8まである。

Gold Bricksの200個目は、本編クリア後のthe Bonus Levelを完了すると入手できる。

Year 7のIn Grave Dangerでテントが設営される。テントの中に入ってすぐ左のテーブル上にMuaraders Mapが置かれているので、近づいてBボタンを押す。Year 7以降でもYear 8やFree Playにてテントに入る機会はあるが、肝心のMuaraders Mapがないため、もしYear 7でこれを逃してしまうとNew Gameからもう一度やり直さねばならない（Replay Storyも不可）。
また、テントに入って正面やや右にあるラジカセのようなオブジェクトに攻撃すると、O Childrenが解除される。
対象となるのはArthur, Molly, Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George, Ron, Ginnyの9人。Hogwartsの食堂前のホールを右に進んで屋外に出ると、Weasley boxとキャラクターを変更できる壺が揃っているので便利。
Red Capsとは、地面から飛び出てきてプレイヤーキャラクターにつきまとうキノコのお化けのような敵のこと。あまり多くは出てこないので、見かけたら必ず倒しておきたい。また、Years5-Level5のFree Playで5匹程度稼げる。
大釜で操作キャラをLord Voldemort、2P側はハリーにして、緑色のドクロマークアイコンのスペル"Avada Kedavra"を使い、ハリーを倒すと解除。対象はHarry Potter、Harry (Albert Runcorn)、Harry (Godric's Hollow)、Harry (Locket)、Harry (Brown Jacket)、Harry (Winter)、Harry (Pyjamas)、Harry (Christmas)の8種類。
Years5-Level6 "A Veiled Threat"のFree Playで、操作キャラをNeville (Waiter)にして、Bellatrix（左側の魔女）をduelで倒すと解除。
